Why does any civilized human being blindly follow a Prophet who was a documented mass murderer and pedophile?

I hold adults accountable for the religion they align themselves with. Children usually follow the religion they are born into, and many remain aligned in their adult lives without ever questioning different aspects of that religion. Still, I find it extremely difficult to understand blind followers of Islam in America.

The sexually deviant behavior of Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, is clearly outlined in the Quran. Granted, there are probably as many muslims in America who do not know what is in their Quran as there are Christians who do not know what is in the Bible.

Still, there is so much documented violence and sexual misconduct surrounding Muhammad, it is difficult for me to understand the elevation of this person as someone all Muslims should emulate.
By any realistic measure, Muhammad, the creator of the world’s most sexually restrictive religion was also one of the most sexually indulgent characters in history.

Muhammad had sex with just about anyone he pleased, thanks to Allah’s extraordinary interest in his personal sex life, as immortalized in the Qur’an.

The Quran includes a list of sexual partners that Muhammad was entitled to, sometimes in categories and sometimes in reference to specific persons (ie. Zaynab and Mary).

Muhammad was married to thirteen women, eleven at one time. 
He relegated them to either consecutive days or (according to some accounts) all in one night.  He married a 9-year-old girl and even his adopted son’s wife. 

As if that is not enough, Muhammad had a multitude of slave girls and concubines with whom he had sex – sometimes on the very days in which they had watched their husbands and fathers die at the hands of his army.

I suppose Muslims who have actually read their Quran, and live under the most sexually restrictive religion, justify the behavior of their Prophet by assuming he preached the motto, “Do as I say, not as I do.”

    The men of islam love the cult since it gives them all power to do whatever they want with whomever they want. Now we even see they are allowed to have relations with their dead wives not to mention various other creatures. The cult was created by a glory seeking critter and has been carried forward by men who care for nothing other than power and gold. Women are nothing but objects to men of the cult of islam. I do feel sorry for some of them.

      Actually, I’ve communicated with Jan on this subject (ads on her page for people she would never support) and her answer was that she has no control over what ads are posted. I believe the liberal dogs who administer the web hosting site do this crap on purpose, just to be annoying.

    1. In the Bible’s book of Deuteronomy it says that if a man marries a woman and then decides that he hates her, he can claim she wasn’t a virgin when they married. At that point her father must prove she was a virgin. (How is not explained.) If he can’t, then the girl is to be stoned to death at her father’s doorstep.
    2. If you see a pretty woman among your captives and would like her for a wife, then bring her home and “go in unto her.” Later, if you decide you don’t like her, you can simply “let her go.” (Deuteronomy)
    3. If a betrothed virgin is raped in the city and doesn’t cry out loud enough, then “the men of the city shall stone her to death.” (Deuteronomy)
    4. In the book of Esther the king apparently decrees a sex contest among young virgin women to see who can best please him. (There is debate on how.) He eventually chooses Esther. However, since women are viewed as inherently dirty, Esther must be “purified” for twelve months before she can be made queen. (Esther)
    5. Paul points out in New Testament Romans that “the natural use” of women is to provide men with sex. (Romans)
    6. Heaven is to be inhabited by 144,000 virgin men who have not been “defiled” by women. (RE 14:1-4)
    7. A group of sexual depraved men beat on the door of an old man’s house demanding that he turn over to them a male house guest. Instead, the old man offers his virgin daughter and his guest’s wife: “Behold, here are my virgin daughter and his concubine (wife); let me bring them out now. Ravish them and do with them what seems good to you; but against this man do not do so vile a thing.” The women were subsequently ravished and killed. (JG))
    8. In Exod. we see that it is permissible to sell one’s daughter (but apparently not one’s son) into slavery..
    9. According to St. Jerome, “Nothing is so unclean as a woman in her periods; what she touches she causes to be unclean.” In Leviticus it states, “If a woman conceives and bears a male child, she shall be ceremonially unclean seven days…if she bears a female child she shall be unclean two weeks….”
    10. “A woman dropped a stone on his head and cracked his skull. Hurriedly he called to his armor-bearer, ‘Draw your sword and kill me, so that they can’t say a woman killed me.’ So his servant ran him through, and he died.” (Judges)
    11. Under God’s direction, Moses’ army kills all the adult males, but they mercifully just take the women and children captive. When Moses learns that they left some women and children alive, he angrily says: “Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.” Throughout Bible history God is said to demand that thousands, if not millions, of men, women and children be slaughtered. And they are.
    12. A man has an obligation to produce a child with his brother’s widow. If he refuses, his sister-in-law is to spit in his face in front of the elders. (Deuteronomy 25:5-9) And in case you are Jewish, you may be familiar with the Jewish prayer: “Blessed be the God who has not created me a heathen, a slave or a woman.”

      Where’s your reference to Jesus behaving in any way dishonorable or disrespectful foward women? Christians follow the teachings and wisdom of Jesus who revered and respected all women. Most of your references are from the Old Testament; the Jewish Bible. But I think we all understand Jan’s point as it was meant.

      1) Traditionally the bloody bed sheets were viewed, a virgin will bleed and therefore constitutes proof of virginity. Further to engage in sex outside of marriage at that time was dangerous to women, no birth control, no protection against STDs and no one would want to marry a woman that promiscuous. To be a woman without a husband, especially a woman with a child had very little hope of providing for herself and child.

      3) It says nothing about crying out ‘loud enough’, it means that since she was in a city and if it had been rape someone would have heard her cries of ‘rape’, since there were no cries, there was no rape.

      4) Esther occurred during the Persian period of world history and the custom of preparation are customs of Persia NOT of Israel, it wasn’t a matter of being dirty but being assimilated into that culture. Including and not limited to the practice of harems.

      5) Paul was speaking on those men who did not have sexual relations with women as is natural, speaking out against homosexuality.

      6) Heaven is going to populated with many, not just 144,000 virgin men; those men will have a special function in heaven in serving the Lord. Furthermore, no one will be having sex in heaven.

      7) The women were not raped and killed, Lot offered them so that the angels would not be raped and sodomized by the men of Sodom. v10,11 but the men [angels] reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with, and shut the door. And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door. No rape of the girls and no death of those girls.

      The only other story that is similar is again during the period of Judges where the apostasy of the people of Israel and their exposure to pagan cultures, the Levite was the one the men wanted to rape. The man doing the offering was a pagan.

      The purpose of these stories in the bible shows the reality of what happens when base and vile behavior is the norm. God never tries to conceal the evil that men commit- He establishes why it is to be judged. Further, the Levite [Priest] could marry but a concubine while culturally legal was not acceptable to God. [Gen 2:24]

      8) Deals with being a ‘servant’ not a slave; it mentions daughters specifically because of their vulnerability in society at that time. It is discussing a parent selling his children into servitude because of his financial hardship; this is looking ahead into Israel’s future. These types of servants were guaranteed freedom in six years so that they could not be abused in a lifetime of servitude.

      9) St Jerome isn’t of authority; so his views are that and that alone.

      As for Leviticus, it refers to the natural results of childbearing; it also protects the woman from a husband that wouldn’t show consideration for his wife. In other words she did not have to have sex with her husband and she had the chance to heal. Unclean in this instance does not mean they are ‘dirty’.

      10) Again the results of apostasy.

      11) Who were the people and what was their offense? God never cast judgment on people without first warning them of their actions and the consequences. When vile base behavior is allowed to continue the result is always that it spreads and contaminates the morality of people. Throughout Bible history God has also relented when man repented as was the case of the city of Nineveh.

      12) Levirate marriages, these were NOT compulsory in Israel, but were applied as strong options to brothers who shared the same estate, to keep the property in the family. One such marriage was the Boaz-Ruth marriage, for one’s name to continue was a cultural practice.

      No one disputes violence is in the Bible, it is the reason that it is included that must be understood. Further God forbade the practices that Muhammad indulged in, God never condoned those type of practices and no prophet of God [which supposedly Muhammad is] practiced, perpetuated or advocated. So it is far different than the Quran. Further the Bible does not preach deliberately lying to gain victory over their enemies, the Quran does.

      Zachary, you are quoting old testament verses of the Bible which is nothing but historical context. Like the Bible, the quran is divided into two parts the Mecca and Medina.. Everything changed in the new testament after the arrival of Christ. On the contrary, all of the more vile and violent behavior of the quran is in their new testament so to speak…

    You have to follow up by reading the Suras and the ‘histories’ written by those who followed Mahomet around and wrote down everything he said and did. A good Moslem does EXACTLY as Mahomet does to the point of peeing and pooping standing up and using THREE rocks and no more or less.     Archie and Dave, I agree with what you are saying 100%. A Muslim male can go out and have sex with any woman he wants while the very same women will get shot or stoned to death. You do have to remember that Obama is Muslim and is looking for ultimate power here in the US. His quest is to control every thing and every one. He will defy our Constitution at every turn in the road.

    I’ve been in Afghanistan for the past year. I’m in the Wardak Providence, which is heavy Taliban. I’ve seen first hand how very wrong and twisted the Taliban version of the Muslim religion is. They don’t care about people, very evident with the massive VBIED they detonated right outside my base on 1 September. It was unsuccessful killing a single American (Which is amazing and pure luck if you saw the damage around here, everyone within 500 yards of that blast should be dead, including myself), but took 12 lives of local people and some of the Afghani’s who worked on the COP.

    Here is the reality of Muslim hatred. One vehicle had a lady and her child in it. Her child was cut in half, the lady was alive, but so badly damaged that she would soon die. She got to see her boy cut in half right next to her. Her and her boy, they were at the wrong place at the wrong time. They had nothing to do with this.

    I hate to say it, but I believe the day will come where there is a religious war against Islam. I believe in God, but I’m not overly religious. I don’t like what I see going on with the Islam movement throughout the world and I can testify to their disregard for human values and life.

      I am not overly religious either but I know right from wrong and there is something wrong with an enemy that will blow up 300 of their own people in a marketplace just to kill a few of the opposing soilders. They are barbarians. They are lucky we are civilized or we would pull back our conventional army to a defensive position, train up an army of Special forces teams and cut them loose with instructions to use any and all tactics the Taliban uses.We would booby trap the caves they like to hold up in. Construct and plant our own versions of IEDs, instead of clearing buildings we would just blow them up and not worry about who is inside.

      I hope that day doesn’t come, but judging by recent events, It is happening. I’m ready for it. I see Obama’s agenda goes far beyond just politics ore ego. He has something else he is engaging in that will not bode well for America. Everything he has done so far has damaged some facet of America. Who is he doing it for? I have some ideas.

I’m proud of you though, it takes guts to make a statement like that. I’ve dealt with it myself, when I tried to rally Facebook users to report hate speech by an Arab Muslim against Israel. He actually had the gall to threaten to come after me in a FB message. So I told him come, right ahead but you’re dealing with a redneck who owns a .45. Facebook just doesn’t seem to care that there are thousands of Muslims using their pages for hate-filled speech and incitement of violence against Christians and Jews. I guess they are more interested in inflating their subscriber rolls than enforcing their own policies against hate speech. Keep up the good work.

    I am a Christian, but I fail to understand how Christians continue to judge others.
    Our country was founded upon Christian beliefs. However, God has given each and every human being FREE WILL. He doesn’t force anyone to believe in him. Just as our Constitution grants the rights to freedom of religion.

    Yes, I agree that there are extremists out there that hide behind the Muslim faith. Our government has taken full advantage of the opportunity to use these Muslims to take away our freedoms.

    When are people going to wake up? The government can’t protect us from terrorists. If we constantly live in fear, then they have already won. I am sure that you have nothing to hide and neither do. I simply believe in the Constitution and our Bill of Rights.

    I see you constantly, talking of the second amendment. I agree this right is not to be infringed upon. My question here is what was the purpose of the second amendment? Do you simply believe it was put in there for personal protection only. What about the rest of the Constitution? Are we willing to give it up?

    I seen you say that they better not cross this line, speaking of the second amendment.
    I’m starting to feel that this is the only line they haven’t crossed yet. Have we stopped them on any others? We need to start standing up once they have control of the internet the guns are next. Don’t think that it’s not going to happen.

    I had some idiot try to tell me that the NDAA has to be approved each year or they can’t do anything. How did we ever survive before the NDAA, Patriot Act and all of these other unconstitutional laws came into effect. How did we survive without the TSA, FEMA and all of this huge government?

    We need to focus on getting the power back to the states and our own personal freedoms. Rather than declaring war on everything…..
