The look on President Obama’s face in this video is priceless. I almost feel sorry for Joe Biden in the upcoming debates. To bad we can’t put Ryan on the platform during the Presidential Debate. I do believe the thought of it would have the President shaking in his shoes.

    Joe Biden has reportedly informed President Obama that he has decided for health reasons will not be participating in the planned Vice Presidential Debates. Biden sighted that not wanting his head handed to him by Paul Ryan as the primary reason for his decision. An aid for Biden stated that the removal of the head is the primary medical issue and that while Biden has functioned without the use of his head or brain for years now that such a evasive act would not be something that “Old Joe” would want to experience

    Nearly EVERY entitlement program is UNCONSTITUTIONAL…Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Welfare, CHIP, etc., etc. Congress needs to read the Constitution. Woodrow Wilson started the taking of money from producers and giving it to non-producers, andFranklin Roosevelt perfected it. On top of that, the Federal Reserve has made our currency worthless. Our country, sad to say, is doomed, no matter who is sent to Washington. May God have mercy on us all.

      I have to bet some difference with you on entitlements. Medicare and Social Security are not entitlements. We, the people that are benefiting from them, have paid very dearly for these benefits. I have worked for nearly 60 years for these and the premiums were taken right off the top of my gross income. I, and many many others, paid thousands of dollars each year for these. If the Federal government had not stolen, yes I said stolen (like taking money that was not theirs in the first place to pay for their own whims) Both would have enough in the bank to cover all expenses or the next 100 years. So don’t even try to pull this entitlement carp just because you are not old enough to reap their benefits.

        The first woman to receive SS benefits paid about $23 to the fund and when she died had collected $22,000in benefits.Sounds like a Ponzie scheme to me.

        Social Security and Medicare ARE entitlements, because you can receive more than you’re entitled to, by any reasonable measure of investment appreciation.

Your only entitled to $100 be cause that’s all you have paid into it. I think this is covered by your “reasonable measure of investment appreciation.”. God bless America

            George, If you by the policy for $100.00 premium and are killed in an accident then your beneficiary is entitled to the full amount of the policy, no just the $100.00 that was paid for the first month premium. The insurance company will probably contest the payment and if there are no clauses or waiting periods it is payable on death.

            Patriot58 (unregistered), using your own theory, Medicare and Social Security, are both insurance policies. Premiums have been paid for many years in advance. If you have ever work in your lifetime, the premiums are paid (and collected by the government, right after they correct your income tax) every time you collect a pay check and you don’t have to much to say about it. I paid my SS premiums for 50 years and am paying my Medicare premiums every month. Thus, there are no entitlements involved. God bless America

          By the time I will receive more than I payed into it I will be 105 years old.
          At the rate I am receiving benifits, so tell what reasonable measure are you talking about?
          Guess what I payed into social security for 32 years, so it is my money I am getting back. It is not an entitlement, it is repayment of money that I was forced to give the goverment!!!!!!

      Social Security (and accompanying Medicare) is NOT an entitlement, unless you consider getting back money that you paid to the government over a 40+ year period to be ‘a handout’. LBJ and his Democratic Congress is to blame for removing those funds from the trust they were in, to add them to the General Fund, where the dollars would be spent instead of earning interest. BTW, Rick (later post) seems to have conveniently overlooked the small item that those who have died prior to retirement ALSO paid into SS for their lifetime, and are getting nothing back.

          You do not take into consideration the compounding effect of interest on the money that people paid into Social Security. If you worked for 40 years and paid in the full amount and it was invested in an account for you and only got 6% interest you would not outlive the income and could draw the most you made in a year for life.

    Let me explain something to America. New Mexico already has Obamacare. Our so called “state insurance” (Molina) is partially funded through state grants, but the majority is funded through the Federal Government. You are forced to go to one of four health clinics. You have no say in which doctor is assigned to you and you will wait up to six months to see a doctor. Good Luck getting a second appointment because you can only schedule an appointment on the first day of the month between the hours of 8am and 10am. Therefore, you can wait over 8 months–no matter how sick you are. If you require a prescription prior to seeing your new primary care doctor you must wait over 10 hours at the only hospital covered by this insurance because the one pharmacy that fills prescriptions will not fill them if they are not from the state hospital. Furthermore, you are NOT allowed a second opinion or a new doctor or a new clinic unless you fill out 15 pages of paperwork. Also, you cannot go to a Walgreens or a CVS. You have to drive, depending on where you live, up to a half an hour, then wait over four hours for your prescription to be filled. Dentist? Good Luck. You must fill out paperwork, wait six to eight weeks for approval, then another three to six months for an appointment. There is no such thing as a walk-in appointment. Walk-ins at the dentist only, but after you have been approved. Then you have to arrive at the dental clinic at 4am in order to be the first in line when the doors open around 7:30am. If you arrive even at 5am, you will be lucky if you are seen by noon. Is this what America wants???

      I agree, it sure looks like europe ( social medicine) all over , I should know , I lost a lot of good friends and family through the “waiting” system of the new socialized medicine , don’t let anybody tell you you will be covered. you will NOT, not until you are at deaths door or dead already , and then they will be knocking on your door for the death tax , which no one will have because so many things on the “socialized” medicine program will not be covered and leaves family destitute or bankrupt. And that my dear friends , is OBAMA (care) and plan , even more so , next 4 years , then America as you know it will truly be gone, and there is no telling who will take over a country in shambles and chaos. I know what kind of people always lay in wait to sneak into a country the midst of chaos , or right after . don’t you?

Because that would have allowed Ryan to straighten BHO out even more with his own facts and figures. But then the look Owebama had on his face during Ryan’s presentation indicated that he was listening but thinking to himself “Oh crap, this guy’s actually paying attention to what we’re doing. And that can’t be good for any of us (us being the WH administration and the left in general)” I have not been this excited about all things political in a long time.     I wouldn’t say that he made any really great points. Of course it is going to cost money, any big changes to healthcare will. He didn’t talk at all about the money that would be saved by the reduction of millions of non emergency emergency room visits that we all pay for with increasing premiums. He didn’t talk about the trillions that will get paid into healthcare from the largest demographic currently not paying anything (18 to 40) but will be getting insurance and using it more often in their later years at the expense of those of us that were paying into it while we were young and health and not in need of it. That alone will dramatically reduce premiums. He didn’t talk at all about the trillions that will be saved by the preventative medicine practices that will come into place which will find disease while its cheap and treatable rather than forcing the poor to wait until they are so sick it takes life support and millions in treatment to save them. He forgot to talk about how regular medical care for the young will reduce the amount of older adults with high blood pressure and other medical issues generally caused by lack of regular medical attention. Finally, he forgot to talk about how Obama care is not free at all. We just have to all pay into healthcare based on the fact that we will all use it.

    So until we, as a country, decide to set up death camps for people who can’t afford medical maybe the best thing is to do this. Set up a good healthcare system that gives everyone the right to health and stop getting into so many wars, stop saving the super rich from paying their fair share while they invent cheap products and pay non-survivable wages to exploit their fellow Americans, and start investing into things that will actually pay off in the long run, like education, infrastructure, and technology.

    As I recall, once the Republicans refused to just bow and jump on board with this debacle, President Obama’s final comment was “elections have consequences and I won.” Then a few years later America spoke again and said “Obama you lose” and took the House away from him.     It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what happened behind the scenes when Obama became president:
    Hillary tried to pass a universal health care bill back in 94′ that was a thousand pages long(sound familiar?) required business to pay for healthcare in 02′, etc etc etc. When obama became president, Hillary dug up her pile of dung when she became secretary of state, and pelosi shoehorned the rookie obama into supporting the deal… The rest is history.
