If Israelis are the chosen people of God, why do they reject Christ as the Son of God? Please don’t take this as Israel bashing, I am genuinely curious. The bible says the only way to heaven is to accept Christ. If this is true, then wouldn’t all Jews/Israelis be headed for Hell? I don’t understand this “loophole”. I guess all Mormons would be headed for Hell also. They follow the teachings of Joseph Smith who spoke to God, and God told him that all denominations are wrong, and that he should form his own. Wouldn’t that be considered following the teachings of a false profit? Someone please teach me. I’m not bashing or trying to start an argument, I just want some clarification.

As far as I know Judaism was the first (or at least the first successful) monotheistic religion. Christianity is just a “spin-off” Judaism, as are some others. Islam is a newer religion than Judaism and was invented about 1600 years ago by a pedophilic lunatic determined to engulf the most primitive and uneducated of peoples and enslave them.

    • Danny, you are correct, the only way to heaven is to accept Christ. There isn’t any loophole. Jews and any other religions, muslims, hindus, buddhists, cults, etc are going to Hell. It’s a sad truth. That is why Christians spend so much energy leading others to Christ. God gives EVERYONE ample time to come to Him, and weaps when they fall into Hell.

Hi Danny, This is a very interesting observation. There is a theme throughout the Bible where God pronounced blessing upon his people Israel. But time and again, the people followed their own way and rejected God. Beginning with Eve, Satan tempted the human and blinded their eyes. That is when sin came into the world. God then sent the ten commandments so that He could show his love to people by helping them to understand how they were made and how to honor God. There were people who followed God and God blessed them. There were wicked people and God makes it clear that they perish. When Jesus came, he came to set the whole world free from the grip of sin. But there is a Satan who makes war with anyone who wants to follow God’s way. He blinds people’s eyes to the real truth of God’s word. The Bible says that “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23. That includes anyone who does not follow Christ and ask for forgiveness. That includes Jews, Mormans, or anyone who does not follow Jesus as is written in God’s word. They are deceived. However, ANYONE can turn 180 degrees and follow Jesus and have eternal life with the Lord. God delcares that “the eyes of the Lord run to and fro thoughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him”. This shows that God is looking at our heart attitudes.
In the New Testament Jesus proclaims that Gentiles can also be forgiven and cleansed. He specifically talks to a Samaritan woman about her salvation. Even Ruth and Rahab were declared righteous because they accepted the living God. They were not Jews. However, because the Jews turned away from God, He makes it clear that ALL can be saved. There really is no loophole. There is one way to God and that is through faith in Christ Jesus who paid for our sins on the cross.
Jesus came to set us free from sin and death. Our job is to accept Jesus as our Savior,
Believe that Jesus came to save us and confess our sins. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9. Jesus will come into your life and transform you from the inside out. He will help you to live a life that is pleasing to Him. The next step is to go to a Bible believing church that is not a cult. Getting into a good Bible study or a Sunday School class is so important. They can answer questions that are very important. Read your Bible every day. That is how God speaks to you. Pray every day. That is how we draw near to our best friend Jesus.
There are many cults. The Mormons do not follow the Bible only. Any group that adds another “divine” book is a cult. There are many false prophets. They are everywhere. Satan is a deceiver and wants to get us away from the truth of the Bible. God will guide you into all truth, but you have to really want to know the truth of God. Keep seeking the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our Redeemer and we can trust Him. I would recommend calling the Billy Graham Association or Focus on the Family. Both organizations are able to recommend a good church in your area. God bless you. I will pray for you.

  • Danny, God chose the Jews for His purposes & promises, some of which are yet unfulfilled but still unconditionally binding. They were used to show God’s existence the to world. They were used to show man how live God’s way. They were used to meticulously scribe His word, the Holy Bible. They were also used to show what happens to man when he’s disobedient. They were the chosen people to bring forth the Messiah, the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, who would live as fully God and fully man, live a sinless life, and sacrifice Himself to pay for the sins of any and all who call upon Him for salvation. The New Testament book of Romans clearly explains how the Jews, who rejected Christ at His first coming, allowed God to use that decision to bring His salvation through Christ to the world during our current ” Church Age ” or times of the Gentiles, but He’ll indeed reveal the truth of who He is, their Messiah, during His second coming. God will fulfill all the remaining promises He made to Israel and the Jews. It’s just a matter of time. We’re living in the last days where God’s prophecies are coming to light everyday. As for Mormons. They changed who Christ is by denying His divinity and equality as the eternal second person of the Almighty triune God. Like all “cults ” they earn salvation through good works, which diametrically opposes God’s salvation by His grace alone through faith according to the Bible. I hope that helps. Ask Him to save you ( unless you already did ) before the final boarding call sounds. Blessings & peace in Him.
