Kansas to Prosecute Federal Agents Who Try to Enforce Federal Gun Control Laws

Screen Shot 2013-05-04 at 12.21.28 PMThe Hill reports that Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback just signed into law a statute that “bars the federal government from regulating guns and ammunition manufactured and stored within Kansas state lines.”
Moreover, the new law makes it a felony for federal authorities to attempt to enforce federal gun control laws, treaties, or rules related to firearms within Kansas state lines. Federal agents would not be arrested but will be prosecuted on “a complaint-and-summons basis.”
Naturally, U.S. Attorney general Eric Holder is furious. Already he has sent a letter to Brownback promising, “The United States will take all appropriate action, including litigation if necessary, to prevent the State of Kansas from interfering with the activities of federal officials enforcing the law.”
Holder cites the Constitution’s Supremacy Clause, which gives supremacy to federal laws over state laws.
Kansas, however, is citing the Interstate Commerce Clause, “contending that Washington has no right regulate guns that were made in Kansas and never cross state lines.”
The play Kansas is making is to keep its gun business within the state, which they believe nullifies the federal government’s legal right to regulate. Guns and ammunition would be manufactured, stored, and sold only in Kansas.
Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, a former constitutional law professor, helped to write the law and says that the bill is not symbolic; it was written carefully and with the purpose of surviving a court challenge.

I think Kansas is being hasty however the United States has 20000 gun laws on the books. In Canada mas gun registration was an expensive failure it cost ten times more than expected ($100 million turned to $1 billion) to enforce it with out reducing gun crime. So Barack would be better of with better enforcement than treats.

Everyone knows that Obama is a Socialist Muslim who totally
believes in disarmament of gun owners. Look at the cut back in our military
plus the organization of his civilian security force in which he wants stronger
than any military. Homeland security has brought millions of ammo and over 2700
armed vehicles. Why else if he is not planning to enforce marshal law and refuses
to give up the Whitehouse and the throng?

The Obaminator and his lap-dog, Holder, have no business trying to legislate firearms at all. Their actions constitute treason, as far as I am concerned. They are trying to abrogate one of basic rights that we, as humans, have, the right to life and liberty. Obama would have us believe that his Nanny State police will take care of all our needs, when, by ruling of the Supreme Court, the police department has no obligation to protect individuals, but only “society as a whole”. This means should someone try to rape you, t he police are not obligated to try and protect you. Historically, we are responsible for our own self-defense, but Odumba would tell us to forget about it and just grin and bear it.

So Mr Holder; why, as Attorney General. are you not negating state laws that infringe on the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment? Oh, wait a minute, you apparently only invoke the supremacy clause when it fits your warped ideology of negating the individual rights of Ameircan citizens.
