Americans standing in line like sheep led to the slaughter….

It is difficult for me to believe this is actually happening in America.

What a sad testimony on the ill-informed and weakness of that state’s people.
This is what happens when good people remain silent and bad people take control of a population in the form of an abusive government.

After all, we do understand, these new gun control laws in Connecticut WILL NOT affect the criminals and crazies who seek or already own guns.

Gun Control laws only affect law abiding citizens who are not the source of the problem.
Apparently the people of Connecticut do not know history.
Registration leads to confiscation. Confiscation leads to Tyranny.
In the 20th century, over 170 million people have been annihilated by their own governments AFTER BEING DISARMED.

The next round of provisions from Senate Bill 1160 (now Public Act 13-3), passed by the Connecticut General Assembly and signed into law by Governor Dan Malloy (D), took effect this week.

All lawfully possessed magazines that can hold more than ten rounds must be registered with the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) by January 1, 2014.
* Any non-resident who moves into Connecticut after January 1, 2014, will have ninety days to permanently disable, sell to a gun dealer or take out of state, any magazine that can hold more than ten rounds.
* Anyone who lawfully possessed a magazine able to hold more than ten rounds prior to April 4, 2013, but did not register it by January 1, 2014, may be subject to a fine of not more than $90 for the first offense and will face a Class D felony charge on subsequent offenses.
* Any semi-automatic centerfire rifle that can accept a detachable magazine and has specific listed features, certain semi-automatic pistols and certain semi-automatic shotguns are immediately classified as “assault weapons” and must be registered with the DESPP by January 1, 2014.
* Any non-resident who moves into Connecticut after January 1, 2014, will have ninety days to permanently disable, sell to a gun dealer or take out of state, any firearm that is now mislabeled and now classified as an “assault weapon.” For more details on this new law and to see if your firearm will need to be registered by January 1, 2014, please click here.
* Failure to register these newly illegal firearms, for first time offenders, is a Class A misdemeanor if the person can prove they owned the gun before April 4, 2013, and have otherwise complied with the law. Otherwise, it is a Class D felony with a mandatory minimum one-year prison sentence.

These are only a few of the deeply flawed requirements that penalize responsible gun owners and sportsmen in Connecticut with the intention of turning law-abiding citizens into criminals.

Unfortunately, it seems as though the misguided Connecticut legislature won’t stop until it has completely obliterated the rights of the people in that state.

I will also add this caveat: THE ONLY reason this is happening in CT is because CT has removed the office of the County Sheriff. The only state in the nation to have done so. This sets in motion a dangerous precedent because county Sheriff’s are ELECTED and not appointed. They DIRECTLY represent the people who elected them (commonly known as a REPUBLIC) AND THEIR AUTHORITY SUPERCEDES that of any police – local or state, the FBI, the IRS, and or the INS OR ANY OTHER FEDERAL OFFICER. This is a documented fact and backed up by the US Supreme Court (Printz vs the United States). The stupid Democrats tried doing the same thing in Colorado and WERE STOPPED dead in their tracks by……guess who? THE COUNTY SHERIFF’S who refused to implement the stupid law the Democratic legislature passed……AND THEY WON.

    • Myrtle Linder

Gun laws made by socialists are not made to affect criminals, they are made to control the law abiding people. This is to prevent us from protecting ourselves when they come after us. We will be completely helpless if they get heir way. I do no mean to do anything to help them. They will have to twist mine out of my little skinny hand, if I don’t shoot first. Of course when they come it will likely be a half dozen brawny men to get this little tiny little 100 pound 84 year old widow.

      • asoro

this is true… so what do we do, sit like little sheep untill they tell you to do something thats against our Constitution. Or do we tell them to f- off and stand our ground,, All it takes is enough people to stand together to bring them to a stop, they will not stop until that happens, Ct now your state tomorrow, they are going to do this little at a time until they feel they can run with it. If these Bastards get re-elected this yr, then that state get’s what they got coming, thats all there is to it , you vote them in you lose your freedoms, Look at this clown that got in NY they dont come anymore Communist then him.

      • marmo43

I am with you and ready to go to heaven. this world holds nothing here for me. while I have a good life, heaven will be wonderful!!!

    • Hoodoo H

AMEN…Wish folks would wake the h_ll up.

    • asoro

when did Ct remove the Office of Country Sheriff’s ? How long ago

    • Archie

I think Delaware, with JoeBiteme’s son, was also trying to do away with sheriffs and only one was fighting them communists.

  • dan from ohio

the laws on the books already state we don,t have to obey any law that is unconstitutional

    • allen

they’ll be happy to kill you before you can present that argument in court. why do you think they’re all excited about the bearcats and MRAP’s they’re getting for free?

      • Capt Parker

If someone tries to kill you, you have the God-Given Right to try to kill them right back.

        • allen

unfortunately most of us are a bit short of anti-armor equipment. thermite is easy to make but a bitch to place effectively.

  • mardo123

    • oldloggerak

I really feel for these people because they are faced with a decision to obey the unconstitutional law or face possible jail terms for not adhering to these socialist demands. I wish I could say it was an easy decision but its not when you are personally faced with this type of dictator style state law. I hope I am not alone when I refuse to give into this same thing in my state

      • medic2003

        They are fascist demands.

      • Clint

I won’t like it, but when I know I’m right and I stand my ground I can live with a clear conscience and a mind at peace, even behind bars. Going against what I know is right and playing the coward is something I don’t believe I could ever live with, even if it kept me out of a prison or a FEMA camp. That kind of cowardice is a prison unto itself.

        • allen

if it keeps you out of the prison camp..so you can rescue the people inside later, then it’s a viable strategy. in fact, at that point applying to work at the camp would also be helpful. men on the inside are worth a lot more than a guy wandering in the woods with a rifle.

if all of us just stand and die, which they will be happy to oblige, who stands up after that? we need to get sneaky, and plan ahead. a resistance doesn’t succeed by standing up on the first day of occupation volunteering to be shot.

    • Hoodoo H

      This is a better photo…

      • allen

you make fun of them, but have you raised a finger to help them? these are our brothers, and we point and laugh, as if we didn’t know we’ll probably be next in a line like that or in line to get on a cattle car!

“If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case: you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” Winston Churchill

        • Hoodoo H

Yes, Sir. I try and speak out to educate them all the time, only to be laughed at. I continue to try, but you can only lead the horse to water. It is what it is.

          • allen

sometimes that’s all you can do. eventually with some of them it clicks into place and they come back to you for more.let’s hope it isn’t too late by then.

and don’t call me sir, even my dad wasn’t a sir LOL

  • Busdriver Bill

These sad citizens don’t know that their sheriffs may stand between them and this type of unconstitutional law/regulation. Were each county to organize a group to petition the sheriff to protect their rights from the egregious demands of the state legislature, it just might have turned the tide. But, what can one expect from bedroom communities and their commuter automatons.

  • machodog

You know?… you just can’t fix stupid. I hate to hammer on old cliches but if ever there was a true one, it’s this one.
These people would have to be blind, deaf, and retarded to not know what this will lead to, and with that in mind, what can a person of at least reasonable intelligence do to make them see the light?
Once again I’ll lay an other old cliche on you…the old “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink” cliche. As a young’un I didn’t know what adults meant when they said that until one day I was riding my horse and some smart alecks ran their horses past me which caused my horse to bolt and it took me about 150 yards to get him stopped. I was really thirsty after choking on all the dust that was stirred up and I stopped at the edge of a creek to let my horse drink. I was so thirsty that surely so was the horse, but nooooo he wouldn’t drink.
Then I realized that it meant , more or less, you can’t make someone think like you do, in a lot of cases even to their own detriment.
So, with this being said…these people won’t see the error of their ways until it comes back to bite them. No amount of ‘convincing’ will change their minds. They are the kind that only learn by example. They make their beds…they can lay in it.

  • John Scott

Serves them right let them keep voting for these liberal communist lefties.

  • skyhawk

The Newtown incident, whatever it was, was phase one in this subjugation that is expanding beyond belief. Don’t the people there understand recall election or are they just mindless sheep.

    • medic2003

      They are mindless sheep

      • Clint

  • NoMoreMarxistsInDC

Several people on that line to register were interviewed and even stated they knew it was unconstitutional, but it’s not going to affect them!!!!!!!!! Yeah, right. It’s not going to affect them if they move out of state. If they stay, they will be subjected to ever increasing gun law prohibitions until the tyranny has become absolute.

    • Clint

This is definitely the analogy, we give an inch and they’ll take a mile.

  • Stealth

First of all…if I was 30 years younger Jan and you were ‘unattached’.. Now to your post. I warned several of my closest friends here in the LIBERAL DISEASE-BRAINED STINKING OVERTAXED, OVER-EVERYTHING state of Connectikutsky- to NOT register their firearms as it is only a ‘prelude’ to confiscation. It ran 50/50… Notice the line in the photo? Virtually ALL MEN- MOST of who have LIBERAL wives & girlfriends…and NO BACKBONE…

  • allen

    “Defy. Resist. Evade. Smuggle.”

  • chaindrive1953

If there that foolish and wont stand up for there rights it really to bad for them I would be a CRIMINAL I bought my guns lawfully and that that you cant pick and chose the rights that are GOD GIVEN this is the end for the CONSTITUTION STATE and they have only themselves to blame!!!!! STAND UP TO BIG GOVERNMENT !!!!!!

  • Rickey Cooke

Does anyone see the real picture here? A law abiding citizen with a legal firearm will now be a felon who is not allowed firearms.

    • Clint

Remember what President Reagan said, “government is not the solution to the problem, government is the problem.” DO NOT TRUST the government.

    • Byron Bonds

Does this felony class prevent them from voting?

      • Fred

Convicted felons lose voting rights as far as I know.

        • Mike_Travis

Laws don’t stop felons from doing what they want. Based on history, laws or even the Constitution don’t prevent congress from doing whatever they want either.

  • Once again, MORE evidence the Second Amendment is impotent to protect us. Think about it: The Amendment with the wording “shall not be infringed” is the MOST infringed, licensed, and limited Amendment of the entire twenty seven. Furthermore, a future generation of our posterity will likely see it completely whittled away if not repealed. This is the inherent nature danger of optional, repealable rights versus non-optonal God-expected responsibilities, such as the following one depicted by the Apostle Paul:

“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house [including spiritual and physical protection], he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1 Timothy 5:8)

  • d

I would say time is now ripe to and act like a man & get out of Conneticut . Leave it to the faries, politicians AND CRIMINALS.

  • Mike Egan

This is where they NEED to start recalls of the politicians, as well as refusing to obey unconstitutional laws. Colorado was the first, it should not be the last where the PEOPLE show some backbone. Don’t obey unconstitutional laws – period.

  • ECDucy

What the hell is wrong with the people of Conn.? They should be forming neighborhood Militias, stocking up on ammo, food & supplies & telling the Government to “F” OFF!

  • Jack

Why doesn’t Connecticut form their own country if they don’t want to abide by our laws?

  • Hurant

If the citizens of Connecticut had any guts they would start a recall, including the governor, like they did in Colorado. The last time I saw a picture of a line like that there were guards with guns

  • gfsomsel

I would refuse to comply. You wouldn’t find me in that line. Come and take it (one bullet at a time).

  • HongryHawg

What you are seeing in that line is the result of an upbringing in liberal/socialist/communist society that started for these comrades in primary/elementary school. It is a microcosm of what the liberals hope to achieve nationwide. You would not see that line for that reason in a Red State.

  • JJM123

Stand in line to surrender your freedom???? However, I might stand in line to register fictitious items in the name of gun-control supporters. When the 2nd is gone all the other rights are soon gone as well.
Austrian and German friends of my parents confirmed that 80 years ago their people registered their guns with the promise that doing so would reduce crime. Of course the orders originated from the greatest criminal of the time and Hitler wasted little time in using the lists to confiscate the people’s protection.
“But it can’t happen here.” Do you want to bet your family’s lives on that?

  • celticwaryor

You people in Connecticut better wake up to what’s happening and put a stop to it. Recall and replace those lawmakers that don’t stand behind the Constitution of the United States…and most likely your state’s constitution as well.

  • whitefeather

Clear Back in 1994 the NRA and most gun owners supported Ex-Post Facto, and Predeterminative laws, which pulled guns from a generous share of Americans’ hands. Think carefully before you support any “Mental Illness” legislature or any other back door “Incrementalism.” That said, the first 8 Amendments have been trampled in a similar manner. Any time they Codify around the Constitution, they are in fact “Nullifying” it. It is time to Resist, Regroup, and Rearm everyone. Do Not Comply!

    • 2bvictorius

That is one of the primary reasons I tore up and mailed my NRA membership card to the NRA and a letter stating my reasons for doing so. The NRA’s Wayne La Piere and also Alan Gottlieb’s gun group have proven to be false prophets for the second amendment rights of all Americans.

You are absolutely correct about the current “meme” of keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. WHO are they that will define the actual meaning of “mental illness? One only has to remember Bill Clinton’s preposterous statement while giving testimony in court “that depends on what the meaning of is,— is!

      • whitefeather

Yep, Redefinition, and Incrementalism…..All they have to do is incrementally redefine who the criminal is. We have to stop this now. Here is what General Vallely says we should do, and I agree. http://www.wnd.com/2013/12/u-s-politicians-urged-just-quit-now/

        • 2bvictorius

The Wnd article is simply, GREAT” and is what I believe to be, a base upon which can be built a very effective movement that will bring all true patriots together for first time since Pearl Harbor and with enough strength to withstand the all out assault from the anti America politicians, the anti America MSM and the approximate 30% of the anti America crowd that is embedded among the general population.

One fact is certain but, must be realized by all who cherish their individual liberty and freedoms and have deep, abiding love of America, they cannot defeat the anti America hordes at the ballot box. There has not been a honest national election in America during my lifetime and it makes no difference who or what party you vote for, the final victor is decided by the power brokers in the republican and democrat parties.

      • whitefeather

Check this out Victorious…..A second Military Officer has come forward and set a date for a march on DC….Here’s the link, spread it around. Hopefully Jan is reading this and will do the same. Let’s make it happen! http://www.wnd.com/2014/01/2nd-top-military-man-calls-for-millions-to-march-on-d-c/

  • taxpayer47

This has happened before does anyone remember Nazi Germany? I do not live in CT and I am not a gun owner, but if I lived in CT I would vote out every moron who signed on to this crazy law

  • taxpayer47

First they came for the Jews, but I wasn’t a Jew so I didn’t care, or do anything about it.. Then they came for the Catholics, not being a Catholic I didn’t care or do anything about it. They took the Gays, again not being Gay I didn’t care nor do anything about it. This followed Muslims, Lutherans and all but me being an agnostic straight never cared or acted. finally they came and took ME, there was no one there to care or act!

  • do the right thing

Look at the number of people standing in line….If those people had armed themselves and occupied the city hall area, what option would the government have? Would they really be willing to risk a gun battle with an armed population who is simply standing up for their rights? The national public outrage would be huge if they were fired upon.
This is not a game, this is serious with potential deadly results. What the government is counting on, and what the people are doing, is taking one of the last steps to solidify absolute control over the population.

  • do the right thing

It is past time for law enforcement, and the Army and Air National Guard leaders to relook at their oath to the Constitution, abide by it, and to protect the population from this blatant illegal activity. Those in power are powerless when the people they rely on to enforce their edicts tell them to go F*** themsleves.

  • borgerboy

So, who would move to this state and deal with these horses patutes…

  • noweareman

This is a DISGRACE to what used to be a FREE country!

  • 2bvictorius

It is my opinion that ” those sheep” standing in line had already relinquished their Constitutional and GOD given rights, not only the right to protect and defend themselves, their families and fellow countrymen from any who would do them physical harm but to resist enslavement by what is already proven to be “a tyrannical state and federal government.

I also believe it is not a bad thing if all of the Sheeple across America relinquish their rights to own firearms and weapons and all of their Constitutional rights because they would probably turn those weapons against the Patriotic Americans who will eventually have to stand united against the tyrants who will most certainly resort to force when they believe they have all of the chess pieces in place. The anti America forces now leading the federal government including both houses of congress, the federal circuit courts, Supreme court and about 40% of the states governments are ready to take the ultimate step of abandoning any pretense of a Constitutional government and a free republic.

The only thing currently preventing that from happening is the military, but soon all of the patriotic top military leaders will have been replaced with communists, Islamist s, and other anti America ideologues and the jack boots will march in lockstep across America..

  • Mike_Travis

We all know the following, but for the sake of any insane commie liberals who visit here, I will restate a history lesson the liberals refuse to accept.

Nazi Germany, Russia, China, and other dictatorships first registered, then confiscated all weapons from the people. What followed was the murder of over 100 million people who were unable to defend themselves or build an effective way to overthrow the dictators.

We are witnessing this very process here in America. It too will lead to gun confiscation then slavery then murder of those who resist, unless we stand up and refuse to act like the sheep in CT.

Live free or die! Sic semper tyrannis!

  • marmo43

I am afraid I would not be in this line, I will refuse to register any gun no matter what the magazine holds. it will lead to confiscation, because they will know who has them and how many to collect. this poor sheeple.

  • allen

everybody here is calling them “sheep”..but what have YOU done to help them?

do you know someone from CT? mail them an AR magazine! do you live in a fee state? take one of them with you, and help them buy an AR or an M1A and smuggle it back into CT! supply them with ammo, radios, whatever they will need to throw this unconstiutional crap off their backs!

we are looking at people that are losing their freedoms but we don’t DO anything about it but point and laugh! how sad that we will not help our brothers out, because they have tyranny perched at their front door!

    • whitefeather

I agree! Very good plan…..Someone told me yesterday, he has a friend that didn’t register his guns and the cops showed up on his doorstep on the 2nd of January. It turns out they were tracking the guns in Conneticut long before this registration. They happen to do the same here in WA state. They may want to think twice before trying this in the Wild Wild West.

      • allen

“I lost it overboard while I was fishing last year”

there are plenty of free resources out there on how to cache guns and ammunition..just be sure to buy your supplies outside of CT and use CASH, they’re probably tracking purchases of PVC pipes and caps of appropriate sizes too.

      • Walter Brennen

Tennessee has a RIGHT TO CARRY and the CASTLE DOCTRINE. We don’t have to deal with the CT type idiots because we do NOT vote Democrat party – – –

    • 2bvictorius

I would say this, the people in CT. did not lose their liberty or their Constitutional rights, “they willingly gave all of it away, and they stood in lines for hours to do it.” Those people are beyond any help from any mortal being and it is not worth anyone’s time or effort to either re-educate, reform,or rehabilitate any of them, they are worthless as American citizens and do not deserve any of the blessings for which millions of Americans (and also foreigners) have fought and shed their blood to make individual liberties and freedoms possible.

      I say good riddance.

      • allen

ah yes the “jews had it coming, they got what they deserved” opinion.

at least we know where you stand. you’ll abandon a potential ally over any perceived slight. remind me never to occupy a foxhole with you, you’re just as dangerous to liberty as incoming fire.

      • Fred

Keep in mind that it was only the people who voted for the idiots that “willingly gave all of it away”. Then there were those who voted for “the other guy” who are what we might call collateral damage. Stuck there with an unconstitutional law, and either hoping for a successful recall, or a repeal of the law following the next election. Of course, there are also the people who didn’t vote at all, they have no right to complain either way.

    • Walter Brennen

Colorado kicked butt on those who voted to take away their 2nd amendment RIGHTS. CT needs to do the same thing. The first offense is only $90; when was the last time you were searched.

  • glacialhills

If they can arbitrarily deem you a felon for not complying with a once legal constitutionally protected non violent activity such as mere gun or magazine ownership, then what makes you believe they will stop labeling those that they deem a threat felons for, say, jay walking, or noise, or what have you? and then remove your second amendment pro-hock ,law by law(felons, we have wrongly accepted, are somehow exempted from having the constitutional right not to own guns yet convicted lying politicians still retain their first amendment rights). Those “crimes” are not protected in the constitution like gun ownership and once you accept the premise of a benign action, like owning a 13 round magazine will result in you becoming a (faux) felon, you will go along with being subjected to anything ANYTHING!.. You have now passed the point where you should have taken a stand against tyranny…The longer you wait the more painful and costly it will become.

the people of Connecticut will find out all about gun registration when they have all registered their guns and there is another staged massacre and then the state will confiscate all those registered guns cause they will know where they are. they are doing it right this time by getting them registered BEFORE the confiscation starts cause they now will know where they all are. clever eh? very clever indeed…..

  • Walter Brennen

The Nazis took the guns from the Polish and the Jews before sending them to the showers. What is WRONG with these sheeple in Con? How much kool-aid have they consumed??

  • triangle whip

Well they might as well give their guns up. Instead of training to fight, they are training to stay in long lines..

  • Rich

Lets project ahead with these sheeple. Next mass shooting they will ban the ownership of those same weapons they just registered. Its already happening in California. You don’t turn them in. No knock warrent in the middle of the night comes to their door. First bthey shoot the pet beagle and then they shoot the owners while grabbing for their legally owned guns due house intrusion.

  • MontieR

This is a criminal act against the people of Connecticut. If you are to stupid and LAZY to stop this tyranny, you deserve your tyrannical masters.

  • Paul obraczka

the red coats tried do this before ….will the knees bow to a god state of a commie outlaw lawless state ???

  • Bruce

With these decrees and declarations by a sitting governor and legislature to oppress 2nd Amendment freedoms, we now seem to have what looks like the first ever “assault Governor” on freedom and first ever “assault General Assembly” on freedom… and of all places, in Connecticut where the first shot heard around the world for freedom was sounded. Patriot soldiers who laid down their lives for America’s freedoms are surely turning in their graves.

  • Gun control laws do “NOTHING” to address the crime or the criminals nor were they intended to. Gun Control Laws are designed to register guns, confiscate guns and then enslave the people who legally owned the guns!

  • soljerblue

How much do you want to bet that many of the people standing in that line to be good little subjects have posted angry comments in the past about how they’ll resist inroads on the 2A? I’m beginning to think we’ve given up and are just swallowing the ‘stuff’ e.e.cummings said he wouldn’t eat.

Where’s your principled civil disobedience, CT?

  • Mark Bigger

do the people of Coneticut not want to stand up for their rights, this is all nothing but infringement and should not be tolerated anywhere in this country

  • Capt Parker

Anyone attempting to ‘enforce’ this “legislation” is guilty of Treason and Acts of War against this nation and her people.
Further, anyone holding “Public Office” who attempts to ‘enforce’ this “legislation” has REMOVED THEMSELVES FROM THEIR OFFICE AND ANY PROTECTIONS OF THAT OFFICE by virtue of gross breach of their SWORN OATH TO UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION.
Connecticut agreed to the terms of the Constitution and the Second Amendment when they joined the union of States – It was binding then – it’s binding now.

  • Archie

Now we’ll have another gaggle of those New England Yankees moving to the south and west bringing along their left wing voting nd trying to change our way of life to something like “we had back home.”
No matter how bad it is things were always better “up north”.

  • JPTX

Only fools register their guns with the state.

  • jimpeel

  • Frank Matchung

Do they really think anyone that would ever use a gun for violence would be stupid enough to voluntarily register their gun!??? This is the intelligence level of the anti-gun politicians we have. How does registration even help curb violence? Criminals arent going to register their guns, and knowing somone has a gun can’t stop them from using it to commit a crime. The only reason for registration is so the government knows where to go when they start confiscating guns.

My advice to all CT gun owners: pick up a cheap .22 and register that. That way it looks like your are being compliant and if they ever come knocking on your door you can hand over that cheap .22 and tell them “this is the only gun I own, check the registry if you don’t believe me.” Meanwhile, get a nice wall safe for the rest of your guns and hide it behind a tall mirror.

  • MontieR

NO guns are illegal not even fully automatic. To make ANY firearm illegal is allowing government to regulate ANY of our God given rights.

  • satelliter

No need to bad-mouth the citizens of Connecticut… They got what they voted for. As far as we know maybe they approve of the gun control nuts in office. They are entitled to vote into office anyone they like. The people deserve the government they voted for.
