Holder’s New School Discipline Guidelines: Threatens Schools Over Disciplining Minorities “Unfairly”

More “RACIST” directives coming from Eric Holder’s Justice Department today.
Now, Holder is threatening schools if they “unfairly” discipline minorities.

Eric Holder is a racist…. His policies while in office have proven as much.
His new guidelines are a continuation of that big racist chip he carries on his shoulder.

This is a man who says asking voters to show a photo ID to vote is “intimidating” to minorities, yet BLACK PANTHERS standing at the polls slapping nightsticks in their hands as WHITE voters approach is acceptable behavior.

Hey Holder…. How about a directive ordering schools to hand out disciplinary action based on the OFFENSE committed and leave RACE out of it…
Or… better yet, how about the government just get out of our business… and handle your own, which by the way, is riddled with racism and corruption.

Here are the details on this story as reported by the Associated Press.

The Obama administration is urging schools to abandon overly zealous discipline policies that civil rights advocates have long said lead to a school-to-prison pipeline that discriminates against minority students.

The wide-ranging series of guidelines issued Wednesday in essence tells schools that they must adhere to the principle of fairness and equity in student discipline or face strong action if they don’t. The American Civil Liberties Union called the recommendations “ground-breaking.”

“A routine school disciplinary infraction should land a student in the principal’s office, not in a police precinct,” Attorney General Eric Holder said.

Holder said the problem often stems from well intentioned “zero-tolerance” policies that too often inject the criminal justice system into the resolution of problems. Zero tolerance policies, a tool that became popular in the 1990s, often spell out uniform and swift punishment for offenses such as truancy, smoking or carrying a weapon. Violators can lose classroom time or become saddled with a criminal record.

Police have become a more common presence in American schools since the shootings at Columbine High School in 1999.

In American schools, black students without disabilities were more than three times as likely as whites to be expelled or suspended, according to government civil rights data collection from 2011-2012. Although black students made up 15 percent of students in the data collection, they made up more than a third of students suspended once, 44 percent of those suspended more than once and more than a third of students expelled.

More than half of students involved in school-related arrests or referred to law enforcement were Hispanic or black, according to the data.

The recommendations encourage schools to ensure that all school personnel are trained in classroom management, conflict resolution and approaches to de-escalate classroom disruptions.

Among the other recommendations:

_Ensure that school personnel understand that they are responsible for administering routine student discipline instead of security or police officers.

_Draw clear distinctions about the responsibilities of school security personnel.

_Provide opportunities for school security officers to develop relationships with students and parents.

The government advises schools to establish procedures on how to distinguish between disciplinary infractions appropriately handled by school officials compared with major threats to school safety. And, it encourages schools to collect and monitor data that security or police officers take to ensure nondiscrimination.

The recommendations are nonbinding.

Already, in March of last year, the Justice Department spearheaded a settlement with the Meridian, Miss., school district to end discriminatory disciplinary practices. The black students in the district were facing harsher punishment than whites for similar misbehavior.

Education Secretary Arne Duncan has acknowledged the challenge is finding the balancing act to keep school safe and orderly. But, he said that, “we need to keep students in class where they can learn.”

Research suggests the racial disparities in how students are disciplined are not explained by more frequent or more serious misbehavior by students of color, according to a letter sent to schools with the recommendations by the departments.

“For example, in our investigations, we have found cases where African-American students were disciplined more harshly and more frequently because of their race than similarly situated white students,” the letter said. “In short, racial discrimination in school discipline is a real problem.”

Back in 2006 in Lancaster, Pa. a cop came into the school and interrogated my son due to a horse playing incident the afternoon before at McDonald’s. My son was nervous and asked for a parent or lawyer, The cop said “no , none of that bull either you tell me what you did or else!” The cop threated my son into giving a particle statement and stalk my son and me up to and including after we won in court due to aledged victims own testimony. We found out that all the students were interrogated like that. I followed the chain of command and nothing was none about it and they made the cop a resource officer and put him in the paper making him looking like a hero every time I went to someone. And the mother who recently left Lancaster and moved worked for the school districts and I made a copy of her blogs and she admits to having mental problems. And we found out the son did also which no one was aware of except the cop whom also had a strange emotional attachment to the family. All old juvenile cases in Lancaster from 200 6 on should be looked into as the police and city council claim he did no wrong and the mayor stone walls the issue. No one else would take my case due it not being their jurisdiction and I have paperwork that the federal court house in Philly said the city needs an investigation but I had to get it started. Also there is only one police station in the city and the community relations office , their version of internal affairs is in the same building and the lt. that handled my case had relatives on the force!

    • Yikes… what a mess… Annette…
Unfortunately because of NDAA and NSA, even the small agencies now have access to private information about individuals that they should not have. It has led to abuse of the spying system. I wrote an article on that a few months ago.

    • Ray – Jesus is the Son of God.

Police officer smashes a drunk woman’s face into a concrete bench,
breaking bones in her face which required facial reconstruction.
She now has a titanium plate in her face. If you have any interaction
with law enforcement there is a good chance you will be beaten or
outright murdered in cold blood by the officer. There is also a good
chance the courts will cover it up.

Once again the police prove just who the real enemies are.

What a bunch of hooey. Almost all of the little boys in the news ages 5-7 facing suspension or expulsion and/or legal action in the last several years for really ridiculous “zero tolerance” policies have been white males. Another classic case of this double standard was the policy at Treyvon Martin’s high school, where the administration was so afraid of making the school record look bad because of all the criminality in the mostly minority school, that they treated Martin’s drug use and findings of stolen jewelry and burglary tools as an administrative school issue instead of the criminal behavior that it was.

Racist Holder just wants the animals to run free in the liberal zoo’s! He is a worthless human bag of crap!

  • David Scates

This administration is twice more racist than the Klan ever was yet the Republicans and Conservatives are the ones called racist.

    • I had not thought of it that way David but you are so right.

    • chamuiel

      The KLAN was Democrats.

Why are you comparing Democrats to Republicans?

      • Clint

I am a conservative from as deep in the heart of Dixie as you can get, Montgomery, Alabama. I don’t live there now but I did in the 50’s and early 60’s, and you are dead on the nail right. The KKK and Southern Democrats were the very same people, only during the day they had to pull their white robes off, but everyone including us kids, knew who they were. Thanks to LBJ the low info voters think the KKK was made up of Republicans. That is about as low info as one can get.

Awesome! Since Christians are being unfairly targeted and made to feel as if we are a minority now, perhaps Eric Holder has his very first case to go after… The TEACHER who destroyed a first grade boy and scarred him for life because of her unfair discipline – after she humiliated and broke his little spirit as he handed her his Christmas gift. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/teacher-throws-first-grader-gift-honoring-jesus-article-1.1568951

    • of course you realize, Holder’s definition of minority is “black” ….only.

      • Clint

        That is obvious.

Along those lines, sort of, a few years ago there appeared in a Washington State news paper, and ad for a ‘bilingual’ teacher. A fellow applied, sent in his application for the job, and was granted an interview. He passed that one, and then went on to the next. That is where the problem arose. In the course of the interview, it came out that this teacher was bilingual, however the problem arose when it finally came out that his second language was German. The people in the School District got all bent out of shape, accusing him of misrepresentation, because his language was German and not Spanish, the one they wanted. The problem was that no where in the ad or anywhere else did it say: Spanish. He was just supposed to assume that the second language was Spanish. “What else would it be?”

  • david pope

holder is such a racist. i can remember where he was making rules to where black would not be punished for certain things and whites will

  • Shawn O’Loughlin

In short: “Don’t punish the 15% of students who are causing 85% of the problems in America’s schools, that’s racist!”

Another question regarding race relations and criminal punishment….
When was the last time you saw a white street gang? You have the crips, the bloods, the Jamaican Posse and the Latin Kings. Have you heard of the The Pale fellows? The white kids on the block? Nope, cause they don’t exist. Most white kids don’t center their cultural identity around committing crimes, it’s usually centered around playing video games, drinking beer and chasing girls or getting an education and a good paying job.

Boy, it’s one distraction after another! What is this idiot talking about”…disciplining minorities unfairly…?” Anything to get the nation’s mind off the HUGE scandals committed by him and his god-idol. My goodness, he needs to see a prison — from the INSIDE!

we can look at south africa and see where eric holders policies will take us

Holder, like his boss, believes in reverse-discrimination and it doesn’t matter to him if its against the law. Remember he was trained to ignore the Constitution by Janet Reno when he assisted her in murder at “Ruby-Ridge” and mass-murder at “Waco” where the victims were all white folks. If they had raided and murdered the black-panthers someone would have gone to prison but not so for Waco.

What school Discipline? Political correctness has long ago did away with school discipline and the schools and society is worse off as a direct result. I know you young people have heard “back in my day or when I was in school” and are tired of it but don’t forget the truth that goes along with it, for I am one of those that remember when the schools’ teachers had real control over students and I don’t recall anyone being “abused” while in school by teachers. I received a few paddlings/spankings from teachers for my misdeeds which means they were deserved and served as a reminder not to repeat my misdeed AND when I arrived home, because my principal had called my mother to inform her of what had happened, I received her punishment for misbehaving which meant I had to go cut a “switch” for her to use and if I picked a small or puny one, she would go get a more appropriate one which taught me the lesson of “get it right the first time” or pay a more serious penalty and I was never abused by my mother whom I loved and respected very much as I did my teachers. When the right to appropriate “corporal punishment’ was taken away from the teachers, the classrooms went amuk and haven’t improved based on my knowledge of current school life AND I have several friends that were (and emphasis on were due to change of vocation) teachers and I couldn’t believe the horror stories of the foul language and threats to teachers by students without teachers ability to take what I would call appropriate action. These parents that say the teachers better not touch their children and then don’t discipline them theirself need to do some serious soul searching when something goes wrong with the direction of their little darlings. To make it even worse we have a system now that threatens the parents if they do corporal punishment at home and the kids know this. Apparently Eric Holder is an even worse example of what is wrong with our Education system for he injects racism into the discipline factor even though the worse that the teachers and/or school can do is usually to suspend the unruly brat (it it’s approved) and at this point I would ask if someone would please submit a poll on who or which students represent the most problems nationwide, not so much for me but for Mr. Holder.

It is just an extension of affirmative action.

can’t give whitey any advantage the blacks don’t have.

  • Kathy

So, when the 15% of the troublemakers cause 85% of the problems, the schools are to let it slide. So, when they’re not destroying the schools, disrupting teaching and committing other crimes during school hours, they will then be roaming the streets, playing deadly games, committing crimes and scoring drugs! Sounds delightful, doesn’t it? Conceal carry, people!

Those 14% who make up the black population of the U.S, are just over achievers in a negative way when it comes to getting into trouble in School or Society.

  • mathis1689

If Holder doesn’t want the little brats punished that’s fine with me as long as he takes the punishment that they should have gotten instead.

  • Chuck

Of course, racist Holder will be the one who decides what’s unfair and what isn’t.

  • Joe Torres

We also need to quit rewarding and promoting them unfairly .

IF Black school children are being punished more severely than their White peers for the same infractions, then that is discrimination and it should be dealt with. But, the fact that Blacks are three times as likely as Whites to be expelled or suspended, may just be because they are three times as likely to commit some offense that deserves that type of punishment. Intervention by Parents may be another factor. White Parents are often quick to jump to the defense of their kids even if they were in the wrong, while many Black Parents hold a more traditional view of discipline and will tell their kids, “You screwed up, now you face the consequences.” At any rate the (In)Justice Department should keep their nose out of our Schools.
