Connecticut Carry Threatens State’s Legislators: Repeal 2013 Gun Ban

Screen Shot 2014-03-04 at 11.02.13 AM

Gun rights group Connecticut Carry has issued an ultimatum to politicians.
Basically the ultimatum is repeal or dare to come and take it.
Connecticut Carry organization’s leader is telling the government that they should either follow through on their threats to try to confiscate more than 325,000 undocumented firearms and 2 million standard capacity magazines, or admit that they passed a law without the consent of the people, and will repeal it in its entirety.
Here is an excerpt from the letter from Connecticut Carry:

…State officials look down the barrel of the laws that they created, and it is very probably that they now tremble as they rethink the extremity of their folly. Connecticut Carry calls on every State official, every Senator, and every Representative, to make the singular decision: Either enforce the laws as they are written and let us fight it out in court, or else repeal the 2013 Gun Ban in its entirety.

As many media sources have pointed out, there is very little compliance with the new edicts, and there is absolutely no way for the State to know who is obeying the law or not. State officials have made their bluff, and Undersecretary Lawlor has made his position clear, that the State will enforce the laws. We say: Bring it on. The officials of the State of Connecticut have threatened its citizens by fiat. They have roared on paper, but they have violated Principle. Now it’s time for the State to man-up: either enforce its edicts or else stand-down and return to the former laws that did not so violently threaten the citizens of this state.

There is nothing that will so completely destroy faith in those edicts faster than the State-provoked chaos and violence that will be required to enforce the 2013 anti-gun laws. Connecticut residents should not have to live in perpetual fear of “the jack boot” coming down on them. Unenforced, frequently repeated threats fall on deaf ears. By passing laws that they cannot or choose not to enforce, State officials tell the public that this State is ignorant, immoral, blind, and impotent in its legal and decision making processes. The passage of such foolishly conceived, insufferable laws is an affront to every law-abiding citizen. Every official who supports such legal foolishness mocks our State and the Constitution they swore to uphold.

If the state does not have the stomach to enforce these laws, then the legislature has until May 7th, 2014 to completely repeal these immoral edicts and let the residents of Connecticut return to their rightfully owned property and former exercise of constitutional rights and practices without any threat of State violence.

“From Governor Malloy, to Undersecretary Lawlor to DESPP, Commissioner Schriro, and Lieutenant Cooke of the firearms unit, and including Lt. Paul Vance, the state needs to shit, or get off the pot. The fact is, the state does not have the balls to enforce these laws. The laws would not survive the public outcry and resistance that would occur.” – Connecticut Carry Director Ed Peruta

If officials of the State of Connecticut opt to get ‘froggy’ (jumping on citizens) and start to enforce the new laws (as officials have claimed a desire to do), Connecticut Carry stands ready to do whatever it takes and whatever it can do to represent and defend anyone impacted by the State’s violence.

The strong language from Connecticut Carry Director Ed Peruta leaves little to the imagination… Clearly, this group has no intention of quietly accepting threats emanating from state government.

Way to go Connecticut Carry!

    Kudos to Connecticut!
It is so awesome to see a states citizenry band together and make the government work within the boundaries of the constitution, the way it always should have been. You are a shining example to all the other states. If there is a way you can help other states citizens to work together in the same manner, We/They sure can use the help.. You guys ROCK.

    • TheTexasCooke

Libs/socialists of the 1960s considered it business as usual to haul folks from all over the country…bringing their protest paraphernalia with them…and protest as though they were local. Maybe we need to plan a vacation in Connecticut this year and bring some stuff with us…..

      • Wyatt Earp

        Count me in!!!!

      • HappyClinger

Actually, you need to stay home, because if the government tries to confiscate weapons, that will be the start of the conflicts and you will be needed at home. Read the response to “J:” http://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/2014/03/on-proper-response-to-connecticut.html

        • USMCret

I say the same, stay at home and keep your eyes on your own politicians who want to ban guns and the caliber of said weapons.

  • GQ4U

Ed Peruta should be running Connecticut — maybe he is?

  • Mike11C

‘The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

    ~Thomas Jefferson

    • doug

      Harsh, but true!!!

      • JOHN T. FOX

      • USMCret

More than true as proven by OUR FIRST REVOLUTION. You either fight for your freedoms or go quietly into the nightmare you have inflicted on your selves.

    • fbpdplt

I think anything that was shed from Obonzo & Holder would probably kill the tree!….could be an environmental lawsuit

  • Brian P.

Well done Connecticut patriots. Absolutely WELL DONE!!!!! If only the county Sheriffs would align with them, which they’re Constitutionally duty bound to do, this would stop right now.

    • Capt Parker

ANY County Sheriff who sides with the State of Connecticut in attempting to enforce this tripe under “color of law” has violated their SWORN OATH and has REMOVED THEMSELVES FROM THEIR OFFICE – AND HAS GIVEN UP ANY AND ALL ‘AUTHORITY’ UNDER THE LAW AND THE PROTECTIONS THEREIN.
They will be nothing but common criminals acting under “color of law” and ‘force of arms’ with NO LAWFUL AUTHORITY what-so-ever.

    • CT no longer have County Sheriffs. They were disbanded several years ago. The legislature had to do this so there would be nothing to stand in their way as we now see what their goals were – towards total gun confiscation eventually. Gun registration is, they think, a good start. Not quite working out as planned, is it? The present state Marshals are appointed by the state instead of the sheriffs being elected by the people. Of course like most wimps in CT the sheriffs just capitulated without a whimper.

      • USMCret

Then there is really no legal law enforcement agency in CT and since that is true no one should give up their arms to a total illegal authority mandated by the state as the state is not lawful either and no citizen who has been in the military hav=s not abandoned their oath and should protect their rights under the Constitution Artical 2 , shall not be infringed. Load and lock your weapons citizens.

  • dufus

Absolutely the best news since Obama became the terrorist in chief. We support Connecticut Carry and if push comes to shove every red blooded American gun owner should join them in standing for the Constitution. God Bless America!

  • James

Good for them. Is this the start of the 2nd Revolution? I s this a war without shots?
I say that every gun owner in the country should send letters to the State Of Connecticut saying that they will come to the aid of the Connecticut gun owners. Let stand 30 million strong. Let this be the first step in the war to retain our Constitutional rights.

    • doug

This will most likely NOT be a “Mexican stand-off”!

    • Marlin208

More like 100 million strong. We have the largest army.

    • DragonsTalon

Only problem with that, is if 30 Million congregate in Connecticut, then the Government can mass Federal forces there. The better option would be to tie down the Federal Forces in other areas as well.

I hope this is what you meant to infer with your comment.

  • rikker45

It is really great to see the state citizenry stand and fight.

  • marmo43

    Guns, what guns?

    • DragonsTalon

Hello Kitty Bubble Guns, Water Guns, pointing with your fore finger straight and thumb “cocked”….those are the only guns I see : )

  • TiredVET1

All it will take is kicking down a few doors and kill a few family members and you will have chaos and then every one of the family members who are still alive will take sniper shots at the LEO’s until they feel they have revenged there family and it will be as bad on both side’s. This could be the pubertal match to the fire.

    • chamuiel

      proverbial match.

What you said had something to do with pubes..I think.

      • TiredVET1

Thank you I do apprecite that. No telling what I had on my mind </:-)

    • NoMoreMarxistsInDC

Just like at Ruby Ridge, Idaho.

      • TiredVET1

Got a feeling that is going to happen again but the shoe will be on the other foot.

    • Capt Parker

” and then every one of the family members who are still alive will take
sniper shots at the LEO’s until they feel they have revenged there
      family ”

As will a great many others.

  • HappyG

Connecticut’s own Constitution is clear…the elected ‘leaders’ haven’t a leg to stand on…

  • rockyvnvmc

This is exactly how Lexington and Concord Mass. began the Revolutionary War. With the British Crown trying to Disarm the, otherwise peaceful, American people. It did not work then and it will not work now. Even though a mere 15% of the colonials supported the revolution, against the most powerful nation on the planet, at that time, it succeeded nonetheless.
    What is a mere 15% of 315,000,000 Americans? 47,250,000 American Patriots !
As our government has learned, in their everlasting wars, around the world… You simply cannot take on a guerrilla force of that size, with conventional forces, no matter how technologically advanced they may be. They will defeat you utilizing low tech methods, every time.
    Molon Labe !

    • Art Weaver

Just a little tip. There have been some very smart rednecks in the woods for many years with millions of dollars backing them.
Who do you think has the most modern and devastating tech, the “rednecks” or the government? RUFF!

  • chamuiel

    Hang in there, Connecticut.

  • Stealth

Damned STRAIGHT!!! Malloy, the legislature crapped on our STATE Constitution and the stinking ‘jack-booted’ cops actually would enforce this??! They should NOT kid themselves…. they are seriously outnumbered…

  • gfr

It’s going to get worse before it gets better. Innocent people are going to go to jail – or to the grave. The best that we can hope for is that the cops will decide to look the other way. Most cops don’t want an innocent person’s blood on their hands – but some don’t care.
Ruby Ridge and Waco made people sit up and take notice, but look what happened to the Weavers and the Branch Davidians.
Before the shooting starts we should do our best to vote the gun grabbers out – that worked quite well in Colorado.

    • festmatt5440

You mean , vote ‘, like we did in 2012 ‘ ; when our votes were never counted .

      • gfr

No, I mean vote like we did in 2010, when a record number of local and state offices switched from democrat to Republican…
Did you think this was going to be easy? The democrats have established a corrupt bureacracy over a period of decades. It has made them rich even though their socialist policies have failed everywhere. They will NEVER admit they are wrong – we will have to pry power out of their cold dead hands…

  • Barto

The powers to be in Connecticut forgot to follow the Constitution just like Obama. This Country’s Government is one OF, BY, and FOR the people and they seem to have left the people out.

  • bobvelon

You have to remember that when ever you have Democratic rule they want to rule by the iron fist. Communists know no other way and it will take the “Battle at/of Athens” to put them down…The only way the can have total control is take the weapons of all of the citizens….

    • rockyvnvmc

Last deer season, the licensed deer hunters of any one given state Far outnumbered the largest Army on earth. That’s just any one State (with the possible exceptions of some of the smaller, minute, North Eastern states).

Imagine the numbers, available, were one to count All of the Armed & pissed off, Patriotic Americans !

While the government is capable of ‘Shock and Awe’, they’ll never be able to take on All of the People, combined, in an all out effort, utilizing guerrilla warfare tactics

. Then again, Why would they even Want to ? Except for one, small, ‘elite’ bunch of Socialists, who’ve managed to break our election laws and install an illegitimate government.

      Yeah, I know that ‘all of the People’ would never say Sh*t, if they had a mouthful… Remember the words of one of America’s Founding Fathers;
‘It does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.’ ~Samuel Adams

  • splooshman

We stand with the Citizens in Connecticut and hope you will continue to stand your ground against a tyrannical state government determined to steal your Constitutional Rights! Live Free or Die!

  • Capt Parker

This “legislation” is in clear and direct contradiction to the Constitution and the Second Amendment to same. WE THE PEOPLE can read and certainly do not need, and will not accept, 9 paid shills in black dresses telling what such clear and concise terminology “really means”.
Should the State of Connecticut choose to enforce these tyrannical lies under “color of law” there will be many of WE THE PEOPLE who will feel obligated to take a road trip …. with prejudice.

  • daveveselenak

That’s what I’m talking about! Let’s pray that he means it. The red line has been drawn, in blood if that be!

  • freebirds

This is one reason I’m a bit down on most cops. There all tuff when it comes to going after the little guy and they Cary a big club. But when it comes to there higher ups, well frankly there cowards.
My full respect is given to those that hold true to there oath. My respect is given to those cops that are the sheeple and won’t be a puppet, but stand up against the tyrant’s.

    • freebirds

I meant are not the sheeple.

  • Tewana Secumbah

One man, one God, and one gun can bring much good to pass!

  • walter baumunk

Freedom starts with the People not the Government,,state or federal,,the sooner the elected officials realize this, they may be re-elected,,if not they will get the boot

  • Marlin208

Finally someone with some backbone. Congress is a waste of time and the SCOTUS has been bought and paid for.
I always knew it would come down to the little guy who just says, enough is enough.

  • kcir321

These corrupt evil lawmakers don.t worry about collecting them, they send others to put their life on the line for a few dollars an hour

  • ECDucy

Jefferson said: When the people fear the Government, there is tyranny & when the Government fears the people there is liberty. TIME FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO FEAR THE PEOPLE!!! CAN YOU HEAR US NOW OBOZO!!! CAN YOU HEAR US NOW CONN. POLITICIANS!!!

  • JJM123

King Leonidas I stated “Molon labe” in defiance of the Persian army. Gonzalez, TX stated “come and take” in defiance of the Mexican army. Today’s Freemen, in order to be free tomorrow, will fight in court and in civil disobedience before offering their arms, a quarter ounce at a time.

  • bless2live

Connecticut officials were thinking obama would give them a box of candy for being a tyrant to the citizens for believing in the 2nd amendment!!

  • Rich

Way to go Ct. Real men and patriots still exist and support the lawa of the law the Constitution.

  • Rich

An unconsitutional law is not a law.

  • Rich

    The Constitution State. LOL> Brawahhhaaa>

  • Chief47

Wish to hell we could import a lot of those Connecticut Patriots down to this sinkhole called New Jersey. Most of these people here just roll over and comply with anything this state wants to shove down their throats.

  • Cancel_NPR

WE have a duty to law enforcement who might be called upon to enforce this law.
OUR DUTY to these officers is to TALK TO THEM when they are NOT in uniform & INFORM THEM sincerely and passionately, that if / when enforcement at the citizens’ front doors is undertaken, that they MUST NOT be a party to this unconstitutional act, and that if they DO CHOOSE ( and it will be a CHOICE ) to confront citizens with this unconstitutional law, that AT THAT TIME, WE WILL NO LONGER HAVE A DUTY to protect them OR their “persons & papers” which THEY ARE SWORN to protect.

READ to them those passages which THEY HAVE SWORN to protect…

REASON with them to NOT take up arms against the citizenry, lest arms be taken up against them ( standing on your front porch demanding your legally-owned firearms, while armed with their own & threatening your arrest, IS INDEED TAKING UP ARMS AGAINST THE CITIZENRY…) REMIND THEM OF THIS…

We have a duty to ourselves & our families as well to act in our best interests.

INVARIABLY, you will be asked by an officer if you are “threatening” him / her when you have this talk with them. REMIND THEM GENTLY that there is NO THREAT in telling them what they already know or SHOULD know, specifically that the enforcement of illegal and unconstitutional laws MAY have consequences. There is NO DIFFERENCE between telling them the above, from telling them that it could be dangerous to law enforcement to make traffic stops at night without wearing proper body armor. NO DIFFERENCE. COMMON KNOWLEDGE.
The mere conveyance of common knowledge does not constitute the conveyance of a threat.

I have read this entire post to an attorney. My attorney assures me that there is no law preventing my dissemination of the above common knowledge points. Anyone who might be threatened by the above DOES NOT KNOW THREAT FROM DISSERTATION.

  • Robert

Why not get this on the voting ballot and take a vote to see
what the people of the State want, if you can get the votes you can turn this
over in the voting booth. I think you need to amend your State Constitution so
this can’t be done again. (The people of the State of Connecticut shall be able
to own any Rifle, Hand Gun, Magazine, and ammunition, they chose and this right
shall not be reduced of infringed by the State). I think this is the only way
to stop this Unconstitutional gun grab.

    • Bad idea. You don’t want this issue on the ballot. There will be voter fraud and you will lose your guns. The Second Amendment doesn’t need to be voted on.

      • Robert

Your right, If you don’t need a photo ID to cast a vote then you don’t need one to carry a firearm. 100 % agree.

  • Robert

State of Connecticut constitution on arms

    SEC. 15. Every citizen
has a right to bear arms in defense of himself and the state. These laws are unconstitutional in Connecticut.

  • crazzyotto

gee, i wrote a very erudite post in support of our brethren in CT; i must have used a BAD word. because the whole thing got booted. i’ll try not to say any nasty 4 letter words this time. SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED! this is not written is swahili! even lefty libs should be able to comprehend. if you do not like it, MOVE to UK or AU where their laws seem to fit your wishes. THANK GOD for the CT concealed carry strength.

  • Todd Little

find the muslims. and those that support illegals. there you have your people who are pushing gun laws on law abiding citizens.

  • John Sparrolini

This isn’t 19 April 1775,Concord, But it will have the same affect.

  • dan from ohio

the leader of this written statement has been told some state politicians and upper Connecticut police want him dead

    • gfr

They don’t have the balls. If they did they would have killed him already, rather than just talking about it.

  • Chained

Time for not just CT but all Americans to man up and remove the trash that is rotting the system.

  • ThePops

    Who would have thought ?
An actual group of logical people in a liberal state ? There might still be hope for this country. Triple Kudos to the few in Connecticut.

  • digdeeper

Obviously neither CT legislators, ie We the People’s representatives,
nor law enforcement officers understand their Oath of Office by which
they swore to defend and uphold the Constitution. That in essence is an
oath to defending and upholding our unalienable rights and liberties.
That includes the right to have and bear arms, a right that “shall not
be abridged”. Indeed, an unconstitutional law must not be enforced by
anyone who has taken the Oath, understood it and meant it! Doing so is
advocating for the overthrow of our Constitutional form of government,
and thus of our Republic! SO HELP THEM GOD!

  • Jim McCormack

Watch Obama and Holder put US Troops in there .

    • Liberty1776

I believe if that happens the Revolution in its Infancy we are watching will turn into a full fledged Revolutionary War , the country is watching , and the Patriots ARE ready!

  • dan from ohio

the leader of this group has been threatened by politicians who stated they want him dead and the chief of police is running scared because they don,t know what to do.

  • kcir321

The problem with this is the coward liberal democrats send someone else to die trying to take them from us because they are not brave enough to fight their own battles

  • GA 4 2A

God bless our northern brothers for standing against this illegal, unconstitutional infringement. This Georgia boy is on your side. The nation is watching.

  • Jack Broderick

The gun advocates have over stepped their boundaries by trying to confiscate legal guns from American citizens, but they have poked the Hornets nest once too often and the people will no longer obey unconstitutional laws. Our brave military men and women will not fire on their fellow Americans either, and the end of this regime has begun.
The crooks in Washington are about to see their abuses of our sacred Constitution come to a screeching halt, and the socialist will find how the resolve of the people against Tyranny works.
“In no country perhaps in the World is the law so general a study…This study renders Their men acute, inquisitive, dexterous, prompt in attack, ready in defense, full of resources… They augur misgovernment at a distance, and snuff the approach of tyranny in every tainted breeze.” Edmund Burke

  • Gregory

The fools in Hartford (I am referring to the brain dead legislators who do what they are told, not the home-grown hitlers and stalins who are behind the gun-grab) have now seen where their arrogance and contempt for the people has brought them. And they are scared.

And they have reason to be scared. They have created this situation. They, and their predecessors have undermined religion and morality, promoted hedonism and narcissism, and every type of perversion. Now, they have taken the velvet glove off the iron fist, and they can’t understand that they are seen for what they are: elitist, would-be tyrants.

I think they need to follow the example of former governor Lowell Weicker and leave the state.

  • USMCret

Recall every one of those anti-gun legislators or file a civil suit about unlawful antiConstitutional the law is.

  • ExpensiveCT

YOUTUBE….LogicBeforeAuthority……..uncovered how many of the Sandy hook players have had ALL THEIR HOMES PAID FOR IN CASH ON CHRISTMAS DAY…Documented Public Information on the Newtown Records…..No Public Office is open………..what if this is true ? Hold your ground…..We’ve been SET-UP to lose…GO PATRIOTS

  • James

Yes, I meant to tie them up by every gun owner in the country calling their
congressman and telling him he must support 2nd amendment and put the pressure
on the Conneaut Congress man to intervene. Also, to contribute to a nationwide
defense fund that would tie the State up in court for a hundred years. Court
action is expensive and the states do not want to go there. By doing this we
are using the state’s on plan. They know that an individual cannot afford to
drag the state through Courts that is why they go ahead and try to enforce an
illegal act. We can pressure all businesses not to conduct business in that state by boycotting the business that do. Also just like the march on Washington, if people from all over the country came there to protest by the 10’s of thousands, they would not like the bad publicity.
