Seeing a Gun-Shaped Cloud Lands 8 Yr. Old in Principal’s Office

If I saw a cloud like this, I would say, it looks like a .45 Kimber 1911 Patriarch… 🙂
Its a good thing I’m no longer in school because these days what you see in a cloud could land you in hot water.

Screen Shot 2014-07-01 at 11.09.45 AM

Kody Smith, a student at Talbott Elementary School, was instructed by his teacher to look at cloud formations and when he saw something in one of them, draw what he saw. (The photo above is not the cloud formation Kody saw, but apparently it is similar)

The teacher told the students to use their imaginations.

So Kody thought one of the clouds looked like a firearm so he drew a picture of a gun.
Screen Shot 2014-07-01 at 11.02.01 AM

The eight year old’s teacher saw the picture and apparently suffered some sort of panic attack.

She sent the child to the principal’s office – where a behavior report was filed. Television station KKTV reported that the child’s drawing was “disruptive to the entire learning community.”

Kody’s mom was furious – and pointed out that he was just following the rules of the assignment.

“He’s 8 years old,” Angel Rivers told the television station. “He was doing exactly what he was told to do for the assignment.”

The Widefield School District released a statement defending their actions — calling it an “age-appropriate reaction to an incident.” They also noted that their response was “in line with routine procedures focused on school safety.”

They said the cloud incident will not become a part of Kody’s permanent record.

Well, that’s a relief – because we all know that while guns don’t kill people – cumulonimbus clouds just might.

My permanent school record contains LOTS of drawings of guns I saw in the clouds.

  • disqus_NdbZjEtTJH

Just part of the indoctrination….It’s amazing how these bastions of Liberalism and control will teach our children 1 + 1 = 3 and then punish them should the child prove them WRONG. Just homeschool your children. They will all kinds of advantages over the Blues and Reds in todays indoctrination centers.

    • Sardis

Ironic that you call public schools “indoctrination centers” and then go on to recommend home schooling, where they would of course only grow up learning your beliefs, and not having the opportunity to see what else is out there.

      • Art Weaver

Teaching kids the values of their parents is NOT indoctrination Sardis. Teaching them that it’s “cool” to be gay IS indoctrination.
You have a stupid parochial idea about what indoctrination is. Either that or your gay and represent their agenda to promote and inflate the gay lifestyle. Public schools today teach little of real value, but expand socialist ideals!

        • Sardis

Clearly, your idea of indoctrination is to teach kids anything that you don’t personally believe to be true. Are you so arrogant that you think you (and perhaps other people who think exactly like you) are the only people that you think children could learn from? You aren’t always correct, simply by virtue of being a parent.

I thin if you put children in an environment where they can learn and encounter different ideas, then they are better equipped to decide for themselves what to believe. When you home school a kid for 12 years, you’re just ensuring that the kid is only ever exposed to one set of ideas…yours. That is, by definition, indoctrination.

Finally, if you think that schools today only serve to expand socialist ideals, then you must have to attribute that to the educators themselves being liberals, in which case, it’s the fault of conservatives for not gravitating towards education as well. Then again, it doesn’t surprise me that far right conservatives tend not to gravitate toward anything too intellectual.

        • Sardis

Modern schools (hopefully) are teaching kids to respect other people regardless of race, gender, sexuality, etc. If you think that teaching heterosexual kids not to hate homosexuals is the same as teaching kids that “it’s cool to be gay,” then you’re an idiot.

Next, you’ll tell us that teaching racial tolerance is akin to teaching our poor White children that they should try to be Black instead.

      • disqus_NdbZjEtTJH

But at least one would have control over what their children learn and are exposed to. You teach them in accord with your own beliefs. And contrary to the new math that is being taught to our children 1 + 1 = 2!

      • Tannim

So writes someone utterly clueless about homeschooling from their public school indoctrination, thus proving the point…

      • fbpdplt

This poor kid already seen what is “out there”…Nutbags like you

  • Terry Rushing

“Educators” are apparent idiots. Maybe they should go back to teaching history, science and math instead of all this “politically correct” garbage. Perhaps they have too many tax dollars to spend so they engage in flights of fantasy instead of true education.

  • Raymond A. Sirois Sr.

Cumulonimbus clouds DO kill people. Hundreds each year, as a matter of fact…

    • sandraleesmith46

Not with bullets! Maybe we should just ban lefties and go back to living our lives guided by common sense!

      • Raymond A. Sirois Sr.

Sorry, that was outlawed soon after the 2009 inauguration

        • sandraleesmith46

Well, in that case, I guess that’s another reason I’m an outlaw…

  • william_sillyman

Even though I’m older and just graduated with my Master’s in Education, and I was going to be a teacher, until I lost 90% of my vision. This “politically correct” stuff is crap. I would not have found this offensive. For that matter, I can’t count how many sticks I used as a kid for guns and rifles. These Liberal idiots would rather our children be mindless blobs. Maybe it’s a good thing I did go blind, I would be the one who was always getting a write up instead of the student.

    • Rattlerjake

This is indoctrination through hysteria. Over reaction by the educators will make these kids worry every time they see anything in the future that resembles a gun. It’s why so many adults today are traumatized to see someone open carrying in public.

      • sandraleesmith46

        Because they’re paranoid fools!

        • Sardis

Educators are paranoid because school shootings have become a national epidemic. It sucks this kid was the victim of an overreaction, but I also have a hard time blaming the teachers for being reactionary in this day and age. If it’s hysteria, it’s hysteria with a serious, legitimate cause.

          • sandraleesmith46

Oh horse puckeys! There were more guns and knives around and in schools when I was a student…which people KNEW how to use appropriately. Probably why we didn’t have so many crazies taking notions to come shoot them up, come to think about it… Then again, we also knew to SECURE those who were threats to themselves and others, under appropriate care. But the plain fact is teachers are paranoid because they ARE paranoid! Those wussies set up the shooting galleries and now whine about the inevitable consequence of getting what they demanded!

          • MikeOneInIndy

You’re right! … God forbid this kid pulls a CLOUD on his “teacher”! Geeez, sell my clothes, I’m goin’ to Heaven!

      • Paul in NH

Make sure these “skulls full of indoctrinated mush” NEVER see side ways “L” or a half of a rectangle. They, at least these mis-educators just might have a collective heart attack.

  • JOHN T. FOX

THAT TEACHER AND EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS EPISODE OF STUPIDITY SHOULD BE FIRED AND BANNED FROM TEACHING OR ANY POSITION OF AUTHORITY, FOREVER!

    • Sardis

Would you step in as a replacement, oh wise one? I can practically see the education dripping from your words.

      • JOHN T. FOX

A TEACHER IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE MATERIAL THAT HE HAS TO WORK WITH. WATER FINDS IT’S OWN DEPTH. WITH TODAY’S REJECTS, ALL THAT I HAVE TO TEACH WOULD BE WASTED, FOR A BUILDING IS ONLY AS STRONG AS THE FOUNDATION, ON WHICH IT IS BUILT! YOU AND THESE TEACHERS ARE SHALLOW WELLS AND RUN DRY ALL TOO QUICKLY! I’M A SOCIOLOGIST AND YOU SOUND LIKE A BURGER FLIPPER!

        • Sardis

Tell me sir, which sociology journals should I consult in order to read your publications? Do you publish your research in all caps?

          • JOHN T. FOX

WHICH OF MY BOOKS WOULD YOU LIKE TO READ? HOW TO HUNT GENSENG? HOW TO HUNT MUSHROOMS? DEER HUNTING SUCCESS?THE REJECTS AMONGST US? PERHAPS YOU COULD READ A BOOK FROM A FRIEND OF MINE AS A PRIMER. WILLIAM J. FEDERER “WHAT EVERY AMERICAN NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THE QU’RAN”.

          • Sardis

Do you mean ginseng, with the letter I? I hope you didn’t make that typo in your book title. Anyway, I hope I haven’t offended. After all, your guides to…hunting for herbs, mushrooms, and deer do sound like fascinating works of…sociology? I did a Google search for “the Rejects Amongst Us” but nothing really came up. Is that book…self-published, perchance?

You sir must be a preeminent sociologist! And I, just a lowly burger flipper.

          • JOHN T. FOX

NO GENSENG. I HAVEN’T PUBLISHED IT. BEEN IN A MEDICALLY INDUCED COMA FOR 4 MONTHS. JUST GOT OUT OF IT A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. HAVEN’T HAD IT PROOFED YET. IT TELLS PEOPLE THAT THE KORAN IS A BOOK OF WAR. IT WAS INSPIRED BY SATAN AND IT TEACHES THAT YOU USE WAR, TERROR, ECONOMICS, INFILTRATION AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SHARIA LAW TO CONQUER AND DESTROY NATIONS!

          • Sardis

Ah, did you conduct all the research for your sociological tome while you were in your coma?

          • JOHN T. FOX

NO I WROTE THAT IN THREE DAYS IN 2012. I GOT DISTRACTED AFTER FINISHING IT. MY EDITOR HAD A STROKE AND I HAD OTHER MATTERS THAT REQUIRED MY ATTENTION. EXPLAINING IMPORTANT THINGS TO PEOPLE OF NO IMPORTANCE IS A TRIVIAL PURSUIT AT BEST!

          • Sardis

You have GOT to be the best person I’ve ever encountered on this ridiculous blog. Keep doing you and don’t let us liberals bring you down.

          • JOHN T. FOX

A FOOL HAS NO POWER OVER ME!

          • JOHN T. FOX

I HUNT MANY THINGS AND IN THERE SEASON!

          • JOHN T. FOX

YOU SHOUD READ TODAY’S REPORT FROM THE GATESTONE INSTITUTE. THEN AGAIN YOU DON’T APPEAR TO HAVE THE MENTAL POWER REQUIRED TO UNDERSTAND THAT WHICH T CLEARLY SAYS!

          • Sardis

I just visited the webpage for the Gatestone Institute. After having some troubling finding any reference to your “book” online, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Gatestone Institute is a real thing. Which report did you want me to read, though? The one on their homepage about the leader of ISIS issuing a statement? Not sure how that relates to anything, but I guess I can appreciate your desire for me to remain abreast of world news.

          • JOHN T. FOX

THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THE COMMENTS AS WELL. YOU DIDN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU READ! OTHERWISE MANY THINGS WOULD NOW BE CLEAR TO YOU!

          • Sardis

To be honest, I didn’t actually read the article either. I’m just confused, I guess about why you’ve decided sending me to articles about Middle Eastern politics is the way this discussion needed to go. It’s of course an interesting subject, but…wasn’t this Jan Morgan article about guns and clouds and schools and stuff?

          • JOHN T. FOX

YOU SEE THE FORREST BUT NOT THE TREE’S! THEREFORE YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND! GOODNIGHT!

  • Ron

talk about liberalism reaching mew depths everyday—how stupid can people get–they should be embarrassed by their blind stupidity

  • luvzforplay

Possibly the teacher thought the picture may go off and receive a severe paper cut ??? The scary part is these idiots are supposedly teaching our children.!!! No wonder these kids don’t know anything about America or our Constitution , he!! most can’t even figure a basic math problem !!

    • Sardis

I certainly wouldn’t nominate you to be his English teacher.

  • reggiec

Would you send your child to the Iraq, Syrian border right now? Sending them to public school in some parts of the US will endanger them just as badly.

Public education is at war with traditional thought and freedom. The liberal indoctrination is blatant and supported by the government.

    ****

    Brainwashing admitted:

Erick Holder 1995 speech: (Now our Attorney General and top law enforcement agent in the US)

“What we need to do is change
the way in which people think about guns, especially young people, and make it
something that’s not cool, that it’s not acceptable, it’s not hip to carry a
gun anymore, in the way in which we changed our attitudes about
    cigarettes.”

“…Every day some kind of anti-violence,
anti-gun message, every day at every school at every level”…

“…We need to do this every day of the week and just really ‘brainwash’ people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way”…

Is his brainwashing working? You decide.

    • newhon63

Brainwashing worked for him but it took a lot of rubbing and grinding on the washboard to get the common sense part of his brain damaged enough so he could become AG. I would pass out if Eric Holder used ObamaCare and had a man’s chin surgically attached on his face. Like Hawkeye Pierce and Honeycut called Frank Burns…..”Ferret Face”

      • reggiec

Consider this statement by Vladimir Lenin.

“Give me four years to teach the
children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”

        • newhon63

More than 12 years if your kids are fortunate enough to be able to go to college but are unfortunate enough to go to a college that subscribes to “The Boy who would be King” and his Socialist approach to life in America. And that is assuming that they are not beat out by some foreign exchange student that is from a country that is 3rd world. You know how this and past administrations feel about helping those from dirt ball nations. Got to give them full tilt scholarships complete with housing free books and tuition not to mention free transportation to come here, over our own children. Then turn around and tell us they need foreign workers to fill high tech jobs because our kids do not have the necessary skills or training to fill them. Same with illegals.

          • Sardis

This country was founded by immigrants. Unless you’re a Native American, I’m sure you’re a descendent of people who left from “those dirt ball nations” (unless you only consider the “dirt ball nations” to be ones that aren’t majority White).

I don’t know where you get the idea that it’s a walk in the park to immigrate to this country, either. It’s not.

Finally, we send foreign exchange students to other countries, the way other countries send foreign exchange students here. What’s your problem with that? Do you have any actual data to support the idea that this country treats foreign students better than its own students? It is true, of course, that the U.S. treats its own college students worse than most other countries treat theirs…at least, financially speaking.

          • newhon63

We do agree that our chidren are treated badly when it comes to education at least. I have worked in jobs alongside foreign exchange students. I asked ygem anout it and they told me that they had expenses paid for everything, including living allowances. All they had to do is come here.

It is true that America is built by immigrants. Ones that were grateful to have a chance at a better life. Ones that made their children assimilate to life in America, learn the customs, observe the traditions while adding their own and yet not forcing their ways onto others. Ones that learned the language and made their children learn it too. Now we are full up. No room for others. We are trying to put our own people back to work. The immigrants that come here now are divided. Some believe in conducting themselves in the same manner I describe above but many take the phrase “Land of milk and honey” literally. They cone here and immediately think they will be handed everything, a place to stay, food to eat. So much that they come here without any money or education with which to start their life. They expect their every need to be met. And those are the ones that went through the proper channels to cone legally.

          • newhon63

Excuse the typos. The forum will not let me edit for some reason.

I do not need to point out the problems with those that come here illegally, do I? They cut in front of the line of those that do want to come here the right way.

Dirtball nations. The time you speak of was a long time ago. The US has grown and progressed. The nations I refer to are dirtball to this day. They have corrupt government, we do too. Their government is so corrupt that the majority of the population in those nations are below the poverty line. Two classes. The rich and powerful and the ones that the powerful exploit every day. We in America ,for now anyway, have the means to protest and do something about it because we have rights. The nations we are talking about have a population that could have tried to fight back to keep from being exploited and chose not to and today they have no hopes of moving up and out. Do I feel for them? Sure I do. But our own children and people need to be taken care of. We can’t be the bandage for the entire workd any more than we can be the World’s police force.

          • newhon63

Those other nations have not progressed. They are much the same as they were decades ago. Are we supposed to have done all the heavy lifting over the years to become the most powerful nation on the planet then turn around now that the hard part is over, fill the hands of every person that has their hand out and ignore the people who did the work?

That can be compared to calling some friends to help you clean out your garage and you will buy the beer. Most of your good friends will come over in the morning to start. There are always those that will come over at noon when the garage is clean already, the hard stuff is done except for the easy stuff then at the end help drink the beer and act like they earned it.

  • Richard Conrad

educators? don’t think so, more like IDIOTS.

  • dondee

Liberals fear anything that government tells them is bad. They can’t figure out anything for themselves. If a boy think that this is a gun, why should he be wrong? Libs are like the cave men. If they don’t understand it, it’s got to be bad.

  • Joken Joe

But what I want to know, did it have cloud bullets? If so was it more than a 5 round magazine clip, could it fire 30 rounds in a second?

  • patrick quinn

Henceforth, he wiil always be under a “Cloud” of suspicion

    • newhon63

      Hahaha

  • Joseph McEvoy

It is time for parents to stand up to the educators in this country and tell them that there behavior will not be tolerated and that they must teach the real fundamentals of life. If you want your children brainwashed
then you can continue on this path of “Brainwashing” that your children are getting.

  • Shorty Stuff

Hopefully, this will teach those kids to never trust everything their teachers tell them, and to go out and find views that are alternate to their liberal teachings.

  • CrustyOldGeezer

With luck the People that have their kids in pubic skuulz will take them out and home school them.

  • eyeball

Where the H3LL IS this school? Washington (either one)? New Jerk? Californicka? Sure as heck ain’t in Waycross or Abilene or Baton Rouge! Teachers there are tarred and feathered for such lunacy. SHEESH!

You sure must be hurting the feelings of all those states with your impossibly clever nicknames for them. Watch out guys, we’ve got one of America’s leading wits over here.

  • newhon63

I would have some choice words for everyone in the room. Like” you are all supposed to be intelligent people” Point to the males in the room. “How many of you yo-yos played cops and robbers or cowboys and indians as a child?” Look to the women. “It’s old fashioned but how many of you have pretended you were being kidnapped by a bad guy and the square jawed macho hero showed up to rescue you, guns blazing and fist flying to save the day?” Do you idiots realize what you did today? You sent a child to the principal’s office for seeing a gun in a cloud and as instructed, drew what he saw. Would you rather he saw a gun and drew a flower? Or ask the teacher if it violated her sensibilities or political beliefs? Meanwhile there is some kid out on the playground bullying others for their lunch money or just for fun and kids are instructed to come and tell a teacher. Is that before or after they hand over the money? You say it is in line with the policy of the school on safety. How so! Was this 8 year old going to reach up, pull the gun out of the sky, chamber a round and start shooting up the place? Look for a cloud that looked like the proper type of magazine so he can slap another in to reload?
If the policy is to do this to a young child every time a teacher with no common sense panics over a cloud then the policy needs to change. While you are at it, you all may want to check your pants to see if you soiled yourself. It had to be traumatic to see a picture of a gun in school.

Yea, it sounds stupid. As stupid as this whole incident.

  • Carl Mayo

the teacher’s unions are acting on orders from obama to brainwash children into 3rd world dictatorship thinking.

  • fm3359

Crazy Leftists run our schools. Time to home school your kids and keep the left away from your kids!

  • foxxybey

There are no common sense people in the education system, all a bunch of brown shirt Nazi’s left wing nut jobs, fire them all and hire people who can teach and not bring up the BS.

    • Sardis

Teaching is a thankless job, and you should be grateful to the professionals who are willing to accept that long hours and relatively low pay that often comes with it. Perhaps you could have benefited from paying closer attention to your teachers. You might have learned it makes no sense to call someone a “left wing Nazi” any more than it makes sense to call someone a “left wing Tea Partier” or “an intelligent and rational fan of Jan Morgan’s blog.”

      • foxxybey

Sardis I’d have you know I was third in my class and carried a A average and teachers today aren’t under paid but over paid to be nothing more then brown shirt Nazi’s who propagandize the kids into all the nonsense from the left. By the way went to a highly rated private school, was offered OCS in the Marine Corps many times because of my scores but, didn’t plan on staying as long as I did. If you had learned real history you would know that Obozo has followed Hitler’s plans to a tee and the reason Hitler’s books are best sellers in Islamic countries. Hitler became a dictator via the schools and their teachings and happening again here. My teachers were nun’s and there was no slacking off with them, don’t believe in their religion but, the education was great, thank you. You could use some learning yourself, bye troll.

        • Sardis

It is an oxymoron to call someone a left wing Nazi. If the nuns didn’t teach you that, then they didn’t do a good job of teaching you history. Also, when you say you were third in your class, I assume you mean your high school class, right? Not college? I don’t mean to sound overly judgmental about your not having gone to college, but I do think that you probably shouldn’t criticize the education of the a large group of people who are better educated than you.

          • foxxybey

I did go to college, Orange Coast Junior College and the University of Maryland, sorry to spoil your idea’s of me. All I ever meet are those who came out of lib colleges and what has been forced down their throats. Hitler was a Marxist at heart also demon lead as his castle on the Rhine which I have been to and shows all the demon symbols all over it. Have gotten further education by traveling to 6 continents and many countries around the world which is one of the best educations, Not allowed back into Islamic countries because I tell the people about the truth of the Quran and their prophet, not missing anything there. Both my daughters both have master degrees and one worked for a major airlines and retired as a senior manager at age 39 years, her sister works for major league baseball team, the only person without a degree is their mother. I’ve been elected as a delegate from my state as a representative and had my own radio show 5 days a week. So can’t be too dumb. Have a good day.

          • Sardis

Wait you are or were a state delegate? As in someone elected to your state legislature? Really? Don’t answer this if you don’t feel comfortable…but who are you, exactly?

Sorry for assuming you weren’t college-educated. Frankly, you don’t sound much like an educated person when you call all teachers Nazis and write that they should be fired. In fact, you sound like a fool.

When you call someone a Nazi because you disagree with that person’s politics, even vehemently, you’re subverting the actual historical record of what Nazism was. You’re cheapening a serious and important subject. Until you can show me teachers systematically putting minority children into mass death camps, please refrain from calling them Nazis. In fact, how dare you describe people performing a public service.as Nazis?

If you hate the way school is taught so much, why don’t you become a teacher? Is it that you’re not qualified, that you don’t want to, or that no school would hire you? I suspect the reality is that it’s all three.

          • foxxybey

I can tell your not real bright when it comes to history, if you knew more about history you’d know where I’m coming from but, since you were fed revised history it is easy to under stand. I don’t call people Nazi’s because they disagree but, because they are not smart enough to know they are being used like Hitler used the brown shirts who also didn’t know.
I don’t like the school system so I support those who are wise in home schooling their children and wouldn’t be a teacher because of the unions. I am qualified but, I already gave you my reason’s.
When kids are coming out of college with nothing but liberal thoughts it shows to those who can see the signs, when this nation become a third world nation with another Hitler in charge you will see and weep if not on the government dole? When you can use logic and when it comes to Hitler, we can continue but, right now your high on the cool aid and don’t want to use common sense or see the truth, so until then, have a good life and don’t come crying when your a slave on the plantation of all races and colors and learn to say “Master May I”, Shalom:

      • Art Weaver

You of course would not get “Left Wing Nazi.”
The primary understanding of Nazi-ism, is of a group that sees itself as superior and infallible. With the goal of elimination of anything and anyone that opposes or disagrees with them, by any means necessary! You are by definition what you claim to hate. That’s why all these good folks here think you’re a loon…..because YOU ARE A LOON!

        • Sardis

Actually, Nazism was an ultra far-right German nationalist movement with an ideology embracing pseudoscientific theories of eugenics and racial purification, Germanic superiority, and the sacrifice of individuals for the good of the state.

Nazism was a form of fascism, which was a far right movement. If you’re looking for a scary movement on the far left, try calling me a communist instead.

And by the way, I don’t really consider it a pressing priority of mine to “eliminate anything and anyone that opposes or disagree with me, by any means necessary!” I’m not too big on the whole “elimination” thing, to tell the truth.

  • Russ

    More Liberal IDIOTIC logics.

While the school of course overreacted, I have a time time blaming educators for being jumpy about guns. School shootings are an epidemic in this country. The kid didn’t deserve to be punished, but it’s more upsetting that we’re reached a state of affairs in this country where even a depiction of a firearm in a school setting triggers panic.

these idiots have got to be stopped! This kid now has a complex about guns thanks to the morons at his school!

God forbid the kid should grow up with an appreciation of the fact that people are scared of weapons that can kill them, instead of growing up to fetishize guns like some kind of sad Rambo wanabe.

Better that they grow up without EITHER ridiculous and mythical nonsense induced phobias! My kids, my way. My kids were taught to respect guns, and other people’s rights. Not some irrational unfounded nonsense. They were taught that a gun is a tool, nothing to be afraid of, something to be respected and maintained. Used according to a time honored set of rules that ensure both the safety of all, and efficient accurate use.
Just like a power saw. Dangerous if not used correctly, in the hands of an inexperienced or foolish person. That it’s people. People like you, that cannot be trusted. They were taught to recognize the symptoms of mental and emotional instability so that.they would never inadvertently put a weapon in the hands of a psychopath! (like you)

You want to stop school shooting!? Then remove these STUPID “GUN FREE” SIGNS. Which might as well say: “Criminals, terrorists and other malcontents, we have for your connivance disarmed any and all effective deterrents. Have fun you have at least a few minutes even after the cops are called.”

This is the sign that SHOULD be posted at EVERY SCHOOL, hospital, mall and public venue:

“ATTENTION, Our staff is armed and qualified. WE WILL MEET ANY THREAT TO OUR PATRONS WITH DEADLY FORCE!”

A man whom I GREATLY admire (and one who many thought was “learning disabled”, an “idiot savant”, if you will), by the name of Albert Einstein, made an astute observation that rings especially true when perusing some of these “out of left field” responses:
“There are two things which are infinite… The Universe, and human stupidity, and I am not CERTAIN about the Universe.”

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL (WHILE YOU STILL CAN)

Thankfully our child graduated from a private Christian school and most of the garbage that is “taught” in the “publik skools” was avoided. Yes, we struggled financially, but getting her a good education was worth it.

You really, really have to wonder about the quality of the teachers we have in our schools now days. The words “nutcase” comes to mind. Here’s a teacher that seriously needs to have her head examined.
